Watching the lastest Deegan vlog from earlier today (2/19) and it's pretty clear he's had some sort of surgery (or at the very least stitches) on his left hand.

Start at 7:13 Mark.  So much for just a sprain - it'll be interesting to see how he performs at Arlington.

For my next trick, I'm going to post a fourteen paragraph rant about RC's calls on the broadcast so strap in sweetie pie.

doesn’t look like it was a scaphoid, that scar seems to be too centered on the wrist. both my scaphoid surgeries were off towards the thumb side aligned with the radius and scaphoid.

Wonder if Brian and crew will continue to obfuscate or just tell the truth about what happened now…

Besides giving the haters an excuse to say I told you so, what difference would it make if he did?

This is a textbook Dorsal Scaphoid approach scar for a significant surgical repair using closing staples. It looks like 6 to 8 staples were utilized referencing this bad picture.

Edit: Open Reduction Internal Fixation via the Dorsal Approach

Pointing out obvious inconsistencies makes you a hater?

Could have been a different procedure or something else causing what appears to be scarring, but it’s consistent with scaphoid fracture surgery that someone pointed out earlier in the thread. It’s at the 7:25 mark.

Ok, I’ll rephrase; besides being able to say I told you so, what would it change? He already raced once, so unless something happens this week, he’ll be there Saturday.

Because the secrecy about injuries in this sport is ridiculous. What would change if they just said, yep had surgery and he’s still racing. It’s like the other riders can’t tell or don’t already know, give me a break…

oh and don’t get your dangerboy underoos in a wad, I’m referring to all of the guys that hide injuries.

It would change the exact same thing it changed by them not saying anything and he’s still racing (nothing for those keeping score at home)…

Actually it changed a lot of thing for those keeping score. It validated things folks have been saying about Brian for years.

I don't know if Haiden had surgery, but if he did, I'm sure it has something to do with the Democratic Party colluding with the NFL to let Taylor Swift win the Superbowl and take over America. Aliens!

I think giving a competitor any mental advantage, at the pro level, is important to many of the racers. Have you ever told guys you race with you have been eating chips and drinking beer and don't know what a gym is used for? haha

Anyone whos had a scaphoid surgery before or recently.

Do you think he is riding in pain? How long is it before you feel its healthy enough to ride?

We never get the full story on these injuries from anyone in the sport....so they are all full of shit.

MXDic just loves to get off on the Deegans so I'm curious what specifically this validates about Brian and if he can actually articulate that or if he will just respond with a lame ass YouTube video.

I think a lot of the issue is on the Vlogs BD states they do them for the fans and show transparency on what goes on day to day on “the journey”.

Do you think hiding the injury was taking the piss to their fans?

So what if he was injured it’s happening all the time. Just come out and say it.

Your last line applies to this entire industry, that's kinda my whole point.  MxDic is gonna use this to continue his shit talking of the Deegans when really what they did is just status quo for the industry.

I do agree with you though, I think it's lame as hell that the industry as a whole constantly hides injuries.

Yes, the whole industry has themselves surgically repaired and then denies it.
