An article in a BRW Magazine i read at work today had Chad worth 30 Million Aus$.

He was ranked 65th in the Young Rich List.

I scanned it at work and cannot get it posted anywhere (in pdf format)

Not much in the little article that isnt common knowledge, who he rides for (although it was done when he was at suzuki just after the Nats), when he left home, titles, 10 Mill annual earnings.......

One thing in the article was how he has invested in a company that has developed technology to recycle rubber which i thought was interesting.

Also how he is involved in several charities raising money for indigenous communities.

I dont think most people understand how much Chad has changed the supercross racing down here.
Last years series was unreal. Before Reed took over the series it was almost dead.
I like how reed puts money back into the sport that has helped him make it.
The whole sport has got renewed energy becasue young people in Oz see him as a role model and know that it is possible to make a heap of money racing SX.
I also heard that he helped save his home track from shutting down. Donated a big wad of cash.

reed has done amazing things to change supercross here at home, but dont think he's putting in his own money and not making 3 times what he put in to start with

Mate, guaranteed no one is making money on that series yet... They'll still be in the red from their initial investments... That is standard fair for any large promotion...

UUHHGG!!.....well that's "ONE" thing that is bringing in for the overall gross.....but the "NET" is going to be shot to hell when you have all the other things to pay for. I would highly doubt there was even any money made after it was all said and done. Especially a first year series like that....TONS of start up money. I'll bet he went into the hole a little to tell you the truth. After a couple years , the investment ( if it gets even more popular) will start to get some returns. But don't kid yourself......nobody is going to get rich in doing this....AND......it's a big chance you take that you may have it totally flop....and lose a lot!

That's great CR puts money back into the sport! Makes me wonder why Stewart doesn't....at least i haven't heard anything. Shit....even J-law has been known to fork out a lot of his own money to help other riders....a lot in fact.

Fair-a-Dinkum? $30 Mil-Aussie? Hell, he could start his own Car-Team...

No worries...

Let's see how he does at Daytona.

You're only as good as your last race.

I'm jus' sayin'...

He said last year he made more off of his investments than he did racing. Sounds like he is a smart business man to me.

I think that is net worth DV. Could he be there after all these years in MX/SX racing? Assuming he didn't have the investment part?

Did he average $4M+/year (net!) since 2003 when he moved to the big class? Take away taxes, expenses (flying private for 1 season costs $300k+) etc... I hope he's worth $30M but it seems a little on the high side

lets say he did average 4M a year lived fat like you claim and spent half every year and invested the other half. Over a eight year period you could easily turn a 16M investment into 30M, easily.

So yea, he very well could be worth 30M.

30M will buy a lot of kit kats.

Reed has really changed his attitude and won over a lot of fans in the past 2 years.

It seems James is trying to relate to more people via his new TV show. I wonder how much it is showing off, and how much it will be day to day stuff.

No probs DV a Real Estate deal in a certain part of Australia will give you that and more.

Only problem for you and your Family is you would never want to leave.

How about a DV12 SX racing Take on a weekly basis, Guy B will offer you free membership at least.

Like creed said.. real estate in Australia has gone crazy , half a million for an average house in an average suburb. Good on Chad for doing so well.

DV12 Who cares exactly how much money he has. He has made it all by himself, without having a loaded family.

The fact is he is no 83 on the young rich list for people under 40 in the whole of Australia. And he rides Mx bikes. Well done to him.

Thats right Reedy MX ,I remember Chad as a junior ,never had a trailer full of bikes like some of the other mini kings that were around at the time. I don't even remember him battling with any one........too far in front.
