You don't think the IPs he had stakes in didn't blow up when he became an internationally household name?

I actually don't give a rats ass either way. We shouldn't be in Ukraine Period. Stop spending money fighting a war that we don't belong in. Specifically when our infrastructure is outdated, Americans are struggling mightily, vets are treated like shit, and people are flooding in to our country. Work on things here first. We are not the worlds police and it is the constant war mongering old school congress who wants us in war.

I think everyone (no matter which side of the aisle they stand) can agree that there is a war going on.

The outcome and results of this war will affect the entire world and determine future events.

This war, like all wars, is based power and money. It is based on the desire to control land/resources/populations so they can therefore exploit the land/resources/population.

these are the basic facts that I don’t think anyone can argue or disagree over.

—————

however IMO the biggest threat to our “democracy” (I am American).
The biggest threat to my health, my personal/economic freedoms, my wellbeing and my children's future is the government of the United States of America.

our own government poses the largest threat to our “democracy” and way of life!

Truths of what caused the war in Ukraine are not Russian talking points. Obviously a lot of Ukrainians don't want a Pro-Russian Government. However my point is we should not be sending blank checks to Ukraine or any country with out seeing where every penny goes. Ukraine is known as the most corrupt country in the world. That is why politician from many countries play there. And at what point was it the USA's responsibility to over throw their government? The CIA has a long history of doing these kind of things and they are usually not for the good of that country.

Most of the “aid” is going back into the American economy. Replacement of old equipment. Retooling of new equipment.
America is literally testing 90’s tech against its biggest rival for the past 80 years. Improving and advancing, while not losing a single soldier.
If Ukraine drives Russia back to its cave, then it’s one less thing for the military to worry about for the next 20 years. How much $$ will the American military save then?

Is Ukraine corrupt? Yes. Are they working to improve on their Soviet ways? Yes. Does this mean that all future generations should have all of their freedoms taken away by an aggressive neighbour? No.

The sooner America comes together to be the great country it once was and fight for what is right, no matter where in the world it is, the better this world will be.

Oh please continue down this path I can't wait.  Jobs from war..... stimulation of the economy. In what sector is it stimulating the economy? America has politicians who want to be in war so they can profit off of it. This money is not going into the economy, very little of it. It is going into the private military sector to pay off everyone fight the American fight. They are paying off German, Polish and private military.  Our economy is up the shitter right now and we are spending stupid money on a fight that has nothing to do with us.

If Nato was so powerful then they wouldn't worry about Russia... The US has placed over 150 NEW bases in Poland, Ukraine baltic you name it. Russia has NOT expanded. The US has expanded.  I love coming into the lions den and laughing at the crap that is spewed in here. Stimulating the economy through bills. That is the dumbest fucking thing I have heard in a long time. Tell me why Zelensky is a new millionaire if that money is coming home

You just keep parroting Russian bullshit.
Do you think that if America went full isolationist, only spending money internally, that it would be doing better?
America needs the ability to trade openly and freely around the world, to sustain its economy. That is what has built the American economy, and why it needs to protect it.
Even China is begging for help against the Houthis now, as they’re finally understanding the importance of this.

The US has placed 150 bases around Russia due to Russians aggression. Does it matter? The bases are there to help protect NATO members. It’s not up to Russia to dictate what neighbouring countries do with their land, it’s not theirs.

How come countries come begging to join NATO, to be free of Russia, but the only way countries join Russia is to be invaded?

You should look at all the countries that were apart of the Soviet Union and ask yourself why they are donating to Ukraine so heavily, more than anyone else?

Because they don’t want to go back! And if someone like Kongols, is here giving first hand experience, maybe you should actually listen.

What are Russian talking points? I didn’t  realize you were so familiar with them. Is it Richard Maddow giving you these lines to say? Because you haven’t said a damn thing that makes sense. If you have NATO why would you be so fearful of Russia? You have Poland, Germany, France, etc etc. so again…. Your fear is from your idiotic talking points given to you because they are not logical. It is truly funny that I belong to a trading forum and a moto forum and all counter arguments for being in Ukraine are the exact same thing. Not only that, I can look them up on the internet in 5 seconds all from the major media sources that have lied non stop. So when you say stimulate the economy and Russia threatens all of those countries you are bereft of any thought for yourself. Start looking outside of your little box and you will see a much different picture.

Since you never actually answer anything, only change subject, I’ll ask you this.

Do you think that Russia has an interest in weakening America and causing division?

To answer your first question full isolation? If NATO all kicked in together the way it should then yes I think it would be fine. I don not fear Russia. Just go look at military size and dollars into defense and start thinking a bit. It isn’t my choice if they do or do not have interest just like it shouldn’t be ours for Ukraine.

Well, they gave up their nukes, and now they are getting invaded. The problem is, The US and England didn't stop Russia when Obama was in office (Crimea) which led Putin to believe he could go in again. And when we had the chance to stop a tiny little convoy stuck in the mud with dilapidated equipment, Uncle Joe shit the bed. They let the problem get bigger and bigger and bigger. Why? They're all making money off it while people are dying. So it's complicated to say the least.

What did the top advisor for the president of "the most corrupt country in the world" do after the people there kicked them to the curb? He came back to the US to be Trumps campaign manager.

Sorry I don't exactly think the US working to overthrow the Ukrainian government is some "Russian conspiracy theory"

Yes I have heard of it, as well as the many agreements never met by both countries while Ukraine is just a shiny gold pawn in all of it. It sucks ass that people are losing their lives, and loved ones lives over power hungry fucks from our country, Russia, and Ukraine.

America does not need any help from Russia on weakening the country and causing division, America are doing a great job of that internally right now. Same goes for many other western countries.

Looks like this thread ran it`s course if some here want me dead. I will delete it, so say your piece.

It doesn`t look like some here can wrap their head around a fact that somebody wants freedom and independence and fight and die for it. You`ve lived in most powerful country in the world and never had to fight for it.

Everything here is left vs right. EVERYTHING! Even the fight thousands of miles away is left vs right in your eyes.

I don’t see anything in this thread that would warrant that kind of threat towards you.

You were a member here before this all started. If you were a new user stirring shit I would get it.

Why anyone wouldn’t value the perspective you bring is beyond me.

I met two American guys that have been working in Ukraine, they are definitely confused by what our media says about the situation. According to them it’s actually quite different than what’s being reported. 🤷🏻‍♂️ just what they told me over some beers.

Please hang in there Kongols.  Despite the recent back-and-forth bullshit spewing posts, a lot of us are behind you100%.

I met two American guys that have been working in Ukraine, they are definitely confused by what our media says about the situation. According to them it’s actually quite different than what’s being reported. 🤷🏻‍♂️ just what they told me over some beers.

Russian army is not what’s depicted in our media. Not a bunch of degenerates convicts with old AKs. 🤷🏼‍♂️ just what I was told from some people there, no idea of the actual facts. I look to this thread for view points besides the spoon fed stuff from official outlets. I like hearing from Kongols

If I was to guess and I don't want to speak out of turn, but this is a very real and life or death situation. Letting the Russians win is obviously not an option for people living in that part of the world. As much as some people look at the dollar sign, this war would not still be going without blood sweat and tears from the people there. And as kongols had said before, he doesn't want to go back behind the iron curtain.

Nah. It was a member here posting about me and Zelensky in a bag. I hope he was totally drunk when he posted it. He deleted his posts.

Sadly I can not delete this thread. It throws error 503. Unless mods delete it, we are stuck posting nonsense.

Were the edited words an attempt at antisemitic inferences?  I’m not sure what else it may have been.

This is not the world I was expecting when I was a kid.  As it turns out...folks don't want peace and prosperity for everyone.  They want money and power for themselves.  You'd think I'd be embarrassed by my naivety but I'm not.  I'm ashamed for our inability to be better.
