I had to hang up my boots in 19 and 82 but I do still wear my moto gear. Helmet, goggles, boots the whole package! I do go through several tear-offs listening to certain members of the broadcast team. I buy new gear every year to keep it fresh (that'smy sneaky way of saying my pants don't fit). My wife says I should get a full face helmet for my own safety. I like my Scott facemask too much though. My doctor says I'm nuts but he's not into moto 🙂
IF i know its going to be a mudder, about two days before the race i pull ten pounds of non salted butter from the fridge and bring it to room temp. Day of the race i center my love seat in front of the big screen and place the ten pounds of butter on it. If i am feeling Chase i lay them arm rest to arm rest, if i think its going to be Coopers day they go front to back, never back to front. I generally go for a chest protector and stilettoes that match my riding pants. Mind you the butt patch has been torn off to accommodate a true race experience. Then I just stand in front of the big screen and watch the program. Every time Ricky makes a verbal miscue I seat bounce my love seat into my love seat. It can be quite the workout for the quads as Ricky tends to trip on his word salad often.
Nothing and I mean nothing replicates a true mudder experience as much as this.

I snagged one of those Christian Craig Fox Onesies to wear when the races are on. Little bit of a pain to take a pee during commercials but otherwise comfortable as can be.
