I guess the AMA has a no fighting policy, but Jett instigated that and put his hands all over Anderson, and at one point it looked like Anderson was just trying to get away, he even appeared reluctant to pull up and talk. If you watch the tape from multiple angles Anderson only grabs his helmet when Jett already has ahold of his.
Maybe there is no self-defence laws with the AMA, but from looking from my couch with a beer and a bag of Doritos, it looked like Anderson wanted nothing to do with that altercation..

I voted neither. Looked like two grown men having a disagreement to me. In the end, cooler heads prevailed, Jett manned up and apologized and that should be the end of it.
Jett never put his "hands all over" Anderson. He put his left hand on Anderson's right shoulder. It was at this point that Anderson lost his cool.
Edit - not wanting to argue with you Blockhead but that was my observation. Maybe I need to rewatch it with my glasses.

Thank god….I just got the transcript of what they said to eachother…
Jett call over Jason and says as he points to the track - “Did you see me almost clear that quad over there yesterday?”
Jason puts his finger in his face and says “that’s a fucking triple with a table you douche!”
Jett grabs Jason’s helmet and says “no it’s not. A table counts as a double…it’s a quad!”
Jason grabs Jett’s helmet and says “ a table is a wide single. It’s a triple!”
at which point Jett says “well…my swollen balls say quad!”
Jason then knocks Jett’s hands off and rides away saying “triple”.
That’s all that was said…..move on now.

It really sucks for Anderson because he did try to ride away like he didn’t want no part of it.
Yea…but after Jett grabs his helmet his only choice are, despite what anyone says, to do what he did, start punching him(worse for fine and suspension), or loose his manhood and respect of every rider on the track(&fans and everybody watching) and just take it. The third choice is not a real option so I feel Jason did the only thing he should do…despite knowing it would cost him something.
You should probably rewatch, because Jett had control of Anderson's helmet for much of the altercation.

Maybe at the next race Anderson will give Jett a real reason to be pissed.
