If you’ve ever read Jom Collins’ books you know that high achievers and visionaries often set big, audacious goals.

Passing McGrath’s 72 wins is definitely an audacious goal and I have no problem with him setting that goal.

I call BS on you finding 5 shootings near Mercedes-Benz in 2023. Provide links for each one to prove me wrong.

Also, we continue to go to stadiums that are much less safe than Atlanta so that's clearly not the reason they are not on the schedule:

Like I said, you don't know what you're talking about.

You can call it whatever. I don't need to do your homework for you. Just saying, its easily a crime issue as to why they don't go back, not necessarily attendance of the event. Why do you think they don't come back to MLPS? Easily because the of the looting, and building burnings from the riots. Attendance was good in 2022.

Lol, that's a weird way of saying you lied about 5 shootings and now you refuse to own up to it after being called out

He was so much better than the comp though. So damn smooth

I have thought a lot about some motorsports legends, and their records being possibly beat.  You can never argue with raw talent, but I think one thing that makes breaking records nowadays a more significant challenge, and that is the efforts sanctioning bodies have put / learned / developed towards leveling out the fields that was not nearly as tight in the past.  All forms of motorsports, be it, NASCAR, SX, Indy, whatever, used to be a lot looser, or they were not nearly aware of some of the performance advantages some had, even just think about Honda in the 80s for example.  The amount of knowledge that has been gained and rules put in place to level the playing field has just gotten nothing but tighter over the years to make sure nobody has an advantage and the only thing to get you on the top box, is talent and training.

My point, some records may never be broken, and it is not necessarily because the riders today or in the future are not on the same level, but just that advantages folks may have had in the past, are no longer an option.

IMG 8826No but nice attempt at making a corporate post.  MC practiced with team Honda watching RJ & JMB  he picked up the little things then added the bmx style. The biggest thing was being around RJ and feeling the vibe of an extremely confident champion.  Lamson was actually faster on the 125 in 91,92. MC threaded  the needle to get a pass done on Lamson. MC also rode an early version of the DBP this created a much Quick er McGrath.

You kinda missed the point, that I have no idea how you viewed that as 'corporate'.  And we are probably the same age, we saw the same things with MC blossoming from a variety of sources in his early professional career (cool picture of Ward BTW!!).  My point was not totally about MC, it was a blanket statement, motorsports athletes nowadays do not have the same advantages they used to, some records may never be broken, nothing more.

I personally would love to see MCs record never get broken, he earned it.  He made a few years of watching SX boring, but that was beyond an accomplishment.

I was messen around. -15 & windy this morning slid inside ts on ice pack twice . Gps took a dump & to get brake de icer.  Sx was much more exciting in the 90,s . The whole side of the stadium rose to there feet on the last lap to see the nac nac.  Pic is below the atl stadium. There’s a few warehouses sort of attached under ground.  The loads r from trade shows. A lot of hype of products to get people to buy in.  SX is no different but maybe a little. It needs a person or persons to get people jacked to buy a ticket & stuff. IMG 4954
