Thanks for the heads up.  I don't usually listen to Pulp unless there's someone I really want to listen to.  Hard to sit thru the constant product shilling....

Really hoping it's Webb who'll take the fight to Jett this season.    He's already beat him once.

When they asked him how do u beat Jett. He really didn't have an answer. He mumbled a round a bit. Said Jetts faster. Then said he just needs to stay in it for 17 rounds it's a long time and see what happens.

Its worth a listen for sure.

I only listened to it once, but him talking about his health was very interesting. What disease/problem did he say he had? He also said he had a parasite?

-He learned from working with Baker and combines that with what Swanny does.

Webb interview starts around the 2 hr 32 minute mark https://pulpmx.com/podcast/show-568-cooper-webb-phil-nicoletti-cade-clason-chad-reed-with-daniel-blair-in-studio/

He had bad bacteria in his stomach and intestine. Ecoli was 1 of those bacterias.

He's beaten guys for the title before that were faster than him. If there's anybody that can get in Jetts head and force him to get out of his comfort zone it's Webb

I'm not denying that.

Just the way he answered the question. He didn't sound confident. And basically said Jett is fast. And he (webb) just has to be there for the 17 races.

To me it almost sounded like in his head he couldn't outright beat him. Just waiting to see if jett makes a mistake.

Love how honest he was in the interview.    He also shows a lot of respect for the other top dogs.      Coop is a solid dude in my book.      I cannot for the life of me figure out why people dislike him.

He literally said himself that he was surprised he had the pace he did. I don’t know if it’s possible to gain more confidence from something like that. Tomac has beast mode, but if Webb is even within a few tenths of the pace I don’t think there is a current rider who is more head strong. Good luck Jett, it’s going to be a great season.

He was a cocky take out artist in 250’s with his ear tucked into his hat. Some folks cannot get over that.

I know nothing of the specifics of webb's health beyond what was in that interview. He mentioned hashimoto's thyroiditis which is a real thing, but the rest of what he mentioned................. parasites and e.coli..... no..... you were duped my friend.

These guys are marks. They are highly motivated to be at their peak, not well educated, have money, and don't have the team infrastructure of other pro sports where team docs can help them sort through the crap. I cringe all the time listening to these guys talk about their health and the things they are doing. So much of it is total BS and relies almost entirely on placebo effect. They run tests for everything then tell you something isn't right and that their program or supplement will fix it. Even if you wanted to research it yourself a Google search just finds more of their crap to reinforce the idea.

And don't think for a second that a degree or credential the person has protects you from this. Medicine is a total grind and a ton of people are looking for a way out. Getting paid cash to prescribe placebo out of a strip mall working bankers hours is a hell of a lot better gig than what a lot of doctors are working. Not much of a leap to convince yourself to go do it after the system has sucked your soul.

Portions of it, absolutely. Not trying to single him out on it, it's widespread unfortunately.

I would think that Webb has a better team of Dr’s around him than being “outed” by a person with the screen name “truck” on Vital. Get over yourself, these guys have more resources at their disposal than you know and likely it’s the same ones of which you talk are “in other sports”.

You think, but you're wrong. Sorry. Not all resources are created equal but they all take cash.

You know what these clinics never do after they run the countless tests? They never say hey yeah looks like you're good, nothing to sell you. Keep up the good work!

Big webb fan but his honesty over jett can be a sign he knows heads up wins might not be a option and being an opportunist is the way to the title. That being said there is one guy that can beat raw speed with mental strength and thats him.

I guarantee there is something about the way you dress that is more of a problem than someone wearing a hat a certain way. Where’s all the people he was taking out other than him and bowers who were like magnets

Why would a competitor let on as to how to beat another competitor that is as tough to beat as Jett is?  Just like when guys started to pressure Stew when he was faster, they will find weaknesses in Jett's riding at some point.  Just as in any sport, the bar always gets raised.

I'm not aligning with Truck so don't take this the wrong way.  But I've gotten shit medical advice from the Mayo clinic on more than one occasion.  Most of the time, they have been great but they miss things just like everybody else does from time to time.  I had a condition they couldn't figure out after seeing 5 different specialists in the Mayo system.  They pretty much gave up on me.  Then got a personal friend referral to another doctor locally who is a specialist doctor for the AZ Cardinals.  He figured things out in one visit and I was better within a week.  8 months and 5 specialists at the Mayo clinic = no solution

You solidified my point. Elite athletes see elite Dr’s such as the one you mentioned. Thing is they go straight to those types through connections and networking and eliminate the possibility of “getting a bad Dr” at the common folk level.

Which "elite Dr." is Webb seeing? Or do you not want to say......

None of this works how you think it does, you've just believed their sales pitch.

The observation I get is he is generally disliked or rubs the American fan base up the wrong way a bit.  Maybe it's the Jesus thing?  I'm not particularly a fan of that but I'm not against people having beliefs.

I'm a big Webb fan....have always loved his dryness and sheer tenacity.  Nobody is getting into the head of Cooper.
