I guess you need to make 2 post when you win the Special Olympics.
Are you speaking from experience?
No, just an educated guess.
One thing's for sure for anyone who listened to Prater's itw: electric bikes won't come and prove their superiority in AMA SMX before a while, lol...

Nice candid interview with Jack Brunell: https://www.mxlarge.com/index.php/news/jack-brunell-interview-stark-vic…
This bit is hilarious, talking about his very first race start on the bike, for heat 1:
When I went to the start, I had never done one in racing conditions, and we rushed to get here, and I had never had a holeshot devise to practice my starts. I was shocked how fast it was out of the gate. I couldn’t even stop for the first corner, and I touched the hay-bale and went down. I got up laughing to myself how fast it was and got going again and come home fifth. I was happy with that first time out and my racing speed was really good.
He went on to win heat 2 and the main event.
Looks like a great event

Woooah, they even got fireworks!
Top notch!
My guess is that the packed-house crowd was only there until they realized there were going to be electric bikes competing. They probably all left after that, because as we've all learned, if the bikes aren't making loud noises, a person might as well go watch a chess tournament at a pre-school.
Oh wow a bike using a speed controller without a clutch and gears is awesome out the gate! 😮
If a varg melts down they won't even notice.
The FFM has spoken, the Varg is now legal to race in France MX and MX related championships.
Can't wait to see it in SX tour SX1 class at last. And its riders will finally be able to earn championship points and prize money.
More details will be coming in a few days but it's probably with the usual power restrictions required to compete with ICE, looks pretty similar to what's happening in Australia.
I truly would have liked to see a Stark racing San Francisco...
I can't help wondering what would have happened in such conditions... Running perfect the whole evening? Out of watts half race? Security mode red light? Burning out on the track? Water and high voltage meeting to kill the rider?
It's a shame we won't know...
Man you're so obsessed with this bike you don't like
I can educate you a little on the facts: Battery IP69K waterproof. No burning clutches.
Why do you even come to Stark topics if you are against everything that works with electricity..
Eddie Karlsson approved waterproof rating.
Along with water-cooled motor and inverter. Don't worry, soon enough we will see how the Varg performs in the mud. Does it matter if the mud is not AMA-homologated?
We're approaching the point where some electric hater is going to buy a Varg to electrocute an elephant with the battery.
I have to admit I had good fun listening to Stéphane Peterhansel after going full tilt on his works electric Audi in the Empty Quarter dunes, saying he had a "red alert" on his dashboard, and explaining in that situation, he and his navigator have to stop immediately and jump out of the car whitout touching any part of it, including the bodywork, because of the "risk of high voltage electric shock"...
Yeah, yeah, I know, it's very different, it's a car, the tech is not the same, Anton is a genius while the Audi guys are dumbasses... Still, it's hard not to have a little smile...
BTW, we all know what would have happened to the Stark in SF: it would have overheated in two laps and gone in "safety mode" with 30% of the power...
Which makes me wonder... Was Shimoda on the electric CR and nobody noticed?
Of course I'm interested, and you should know why... You told me like ten thousand times: it's the future!
Pit Row
Oh yes, please, Master, educate me.
God knows you need it 🤷♂️
Yeah, I know, people who don't share your views tend to annoy omniscient visionary guys like you...
Just saw an ig post that the stark is approved to race AMA Sprint enduro.
Great find 👍 thanks.
"Electric Motorcycles will be able to compete in US Sprint Enduro “open” classes. If we start receiving more interest – perhaps in the future we will create dedicated Electric Classes for them to compete in, however at this time we are not seeing the need for electric specific classes.
We look forward to seeing you at the races – ⛽OR ⚡‼️"

Also Stark is staying true to its "racing anywhere we can" attitude, the Varg is legal to race in Spanish Hard Enduro championship, Taddy should be able to race the 2nd round next month.
These guys are nuts, that's water testing taken seriously
"There will be no mixing of e-bikes and gas bikes in AMA events with the possible exception of the 50cc sized machines on open 50cc classes. For a track to be able to do this, they would need to submit it to the AMA via supplemental rules. At this time we would not be approving those supplemental rules that would allow E-Bikes and gas Bikes to compete against each other."
I am going with no..
Claiming the bike would overheat in two laps at SF isn't an opinion, that's just making up bullshit because nobody has any way of knowing what would have happened.
Naaaah, I'd call that an "educated guess".

You need a better education!
When provided with a link, directing to the organizer statement, on the organizer website, stating that electrics are legal to race, the guy thinks "Nope, won't happen", you can't help him, mate.
