Insanity. Every year we all get excited for a "stacked A1" and think we're going to witness a barn-burner of a season with a 5-horse race for the championship. Then A1 happens and history repeats itself. If we're lucky we might witness a 2 or 3-horse race for a while, but being only two crashes away from a 1-horse breakaway, the battle at the front usually doesn't last long. The standard season pattern of attrition ensues and it becomes a race for 2nd as the front runner leaves everyone in the dust.
This year could be a total snoozer at the front. Can we have Jett start last every race? Maybe reverse the grid for the points leaders? Would that even matter?
The purpose of this post is to jinx the historical trends. Let there be more than a 1-horse after A1. May the universe prove me wrong.
They are trying to make it more of a race. Jett was doing a 3-3-5 section. The moved the last jump further so Jett won’t be able to make it now. No one else had done it. Guy gets handicapped before the race even starts
250 class should be firing a lot of young guys in it, that want to race their heart out cause they are young and believe this is the biggest moment in there lives,
450 class knows that this is just the tip, it’s gonna require a lot of massaging and lube to get this thing in and it’s gonna take time.
wow so much negativity on vital lately … jesus just be exited the season is started.
I think his post was just meaning it’s not gonna be an end of the season style race.
This is basically a scrimmage, 1st race always is.
but your right he should be happy we’re watching dirtbiking at its best on live film

Damn Debbie... some of us are still buzzing about the gate drops later 😝
We all know that every year gets the 'deep field, flying at the test track, looking comfortable' treatment, it's their job to sell it, it's a running joke for a reason... You're probably right it'll come down to a few guys too, but the potential and quality of the competition is as awesome as it's ever been and maybe genuinely more so.
If this season doesn't sound super exciting to you, then I don't know what to tell you dude.
I'm just as stoked on gate drops every year as always, no matter what happens. Fans are fans no matter if it's a snoozer or not. But like I said, I'm trying to jinx the pattern...
I do hear you my man, Pro Motocross last year, I watched every race but I'm sure most of us can agree it did almost felt like a chore at times.
You might well be right and Supercross follows suit if Jett (or anyone) catches fire, but I too hope it lives up to it 👍
3 different 450 winners this year, 4 maybe 5 250 winners. That is over 17 races, mid 80s there was 8 different winners over 11 races. You can make a lot of money now being a fifth through tenth place guy now. Not too many riders get pissed about coming in sixth now.
Being a realist is often seen as being a pessimist, but they are not the same. I understand the common perception though.
I hope we have more than 3 different winners this year, but that might require some first turn pile ups or some Friese roadblocks.
“Remember how we detuned the bike to make it more rideable? Yeah, let’s un-detune it now so I can still get 5.” ~ Hunter Brother 18 probably
No-one actually expects a 5 horse race for the championship, all we can hope for is that Jett doesn't run away with every race. Last season had a few twists if you remember, hopefully there's more of that this year.
Hopefully tv does cover Beta, at least slightly, if there not running out front, I’d like to see a full lap, just to see what the bike does well under a certain scenario….
Jinx the pattern by posting on a forum? I thought you were joking the first time, now I'm not so sure...
So we're gonna call the season after a few practice sessions ? 17 rounds is a long time and as we've seen , pretty much anything can happen , could we at least wait till the first race is over before we call it a year ?
Thread is just… odd
Is this for real?
Total bullshit.
I saw the 5...just think it's pissweak that they moved it.
Hell of a risk and incredible skill
Pit Row
You're going to hate the next 8-10 years.
Is this true?
They were talking about it on the broadcast so I assume it is.
It's true that they moved it, but they always make track adjustments if something is too dangerous, especially at round 1. If Jett mistimed that section one time that would be it. Feld is hand-feeding the Lawrence family grapes while fanning them with palm leaves, do you think they would make changes that would jeopardize their storyline?
You gotta be shitting me?!
Have you considered the risk and skill needed to do it!? Not to mention Ball Size.
That's the track you built-Let these guys make of it what they will.
BULLSHIT.
Relax, everything will be alright. Crack a cold beverage and enjoy the races.
Yep, I'm here and they def moved it back. They said it was for "rider safety", but no one else was doing it. Lol. It was for rider parity.
I don’t remember obstacles that were Stewable being changed so they were no longer possible.
When did this become a thing?
By the time the east coast comes around 10 factory guys will be left, I agree I’m tired of hearing about the deepest field every year.
I don’t blame the series, but I blame the 450s they have just been developed too far to the point of being far too overpowered for SX.
💯
Never.
Thats what made the things stewable and your mind was blown because of it.
Thats the track-It is what it is.
Rider safety is fucking laughable
The difference is, Stew didn't do those things in free practice. The quads/wall jump happened during the races so they couldn't change it.
Jett's first rookie mistake....never show your cards in practice.
Post a reply to: Supercross...it's the same story every year
