I love the dolts that think they found a work around by using a VPN but don't realize that they will not be able to collect any winnings. "I'm sure Steve will send my bike to Florida. he doesn't mind going to jail." 

Myself, I'm trying to look at this as a positive. I was doing the paid league, paying for expert picks and the Industry Idiots league. This season should be a lot less stressful. I'm going to try a novel approach and just enjoy the racing. 

Seems sketchy that the bottom fell out a week before A1, looking around for other platforms but coming up short. Has PULP made a statement regarding this? I am not seeing anything but the postings on this thread, nothing on the Fantasy site

What happens if someone from an illegal state wins a prize?  Does a person need to be a legal resident of a state to collect?  How will the private leagues be affected?  I have always paid for the pulp championship, but my friends and I have had out own pay league.

Actually, you're wrong that people don't know.  

Just like white people have been killing one another in Europe for thousands of years before and hundreds after they colonized North America from Spain, England, the Netherlands, France, Russia and carried on here against other races.  Not many times across history when the group with a leg up hasn't taken resources from others, same on other continents.There's no inherent virtue in any group of humans.

Florida seems to be the only big moto state that is banned. As a percentage of users, this may not be that big of a change. Throw in the extra publicity, and VPN use, might be just a mild change in number of users.

....I do not get how Pulpmxfantasy is gambling and thus falls under gambling restrictions.

I pay $40 to COMPETE against other people for prizes. Its a COMPETITION.

Its no different than if I am a local pro mxer and sign up and race to compete against other pros for an mx purse! If I am an amateur and  sign up at a local track to race and all I get is a trophee, how is this different then the $40 I pay to Pulp to maybe get a set of tires?

Not gambling. Falls under fantasy sports which is now and has been regulated on a state by state basis for some time.
 

Not surprising . When there’s money to be made, there’s money to be collected by our government. Some politician(s) likely sent cease and desist letters out to fantasy company’s that didn’t pay the license fee to operate legally.

Unfortunately, they caught on to us.

I enjoy the game enough that I would pay $ every season to play pulp fantasy with NO prizes involved or implied. Just a pay for play online game. 

So I was looking at the list and how much it costs per state to obtain a lic. Here in Arizona it was saying 2k to obtain a lic for a year. If that’s all it is I think it would be beneficial and cost effective for them. States like rode island,Wyoming ect dosent seem like a ton of people that would be intrested in it with little riding. I’m  sure there is more to it but that’s just most of us looking from the outside in….

Listen to the Renthal Reaction pod.....it explains it all including why the announcement was so late.  They have been trying to work around it with attorneys etc and had to use this plan until something changed.  

ML, how is this impacting the new Vital league???  It seems like it would need the same restrictions since you are offering a paid and premium subscription?

So I know there’s a bunch of people saying just use a VPN. Anyone confirm that it will work with just a VPN? It won’t look at any other means for geolocation determination? 
Cause from what I was just googling, it seems like a lot of gambling sites use software to detect VPN location fraud

Something tells me they will sniff out the vpn. 
  When you pay that has an address attached. Also prizes shipped etc. could get messy. 
  My only current solution is to have a relative or buddy in an eligible state. 
  Yes this blows. I have played fantasy since denny started moto x dream back in the dark ages of dial up. 🥹
