People never think how easy it is to make an Austrian bike more mellow and manageable for beginners with maybe flywheel weights, gearing, throttle cams, even simple things like tires or lower seats. They are very simple to tune in either direction faster or slower. Or even learning the throttle goes both ways. If you start with the XR/CRF/TTR no amount of money makes them as good a dirt as an Austrian bike. Our whole riding crew went through a few TTRs and CRFs they just didn't work as well for our wives and kids as Austrian bikes mellowed out a little and lowered. We likened the TTRs and the like to decent field bikes. Drum rear brakes, overweight, underpowered, bad ergos.

I don't think anyone is going to disagree your $11,500 350 XCFW is a superior off road machine to a CRF/KLX/TTR. lol. That's not the point, though.

Three questions:

1.) How goes the arguing today?   Anything worth reading in the last 3 pages?

2.) What time does Deegan race?

3.) What time is the Lawrence Interview/featurette?

Carry on.

If you've read any of my posts, you know that I would never own a 4 stroke.   I'm a diehard 2-stroke junkie.   4-strokes have ruined this sport.     My initial response in this thread is based on people on here who do own an RMZ and what I've read about them in tests.   I'm not the type to get into dick-swinging over what I own.   Just because I spent more money on something doesn't make me better than the next guy.

Always been a Suzuki guy. My dad always made the joke way back in the day that if you love one year of the Honda, just buy the next year’s Suzuki. They’ll just copy it and it’s going to be cheaper.

That's really cool. They used to race a 750 class at the ISDT too didn't they? Scott Summers and the like did well on big scooters, can be done no doubt. I wouldn't want to though, given a choice.

Bought it used, no where near $11500. Best money my friends and I spend on bikes are good bikes for our wives, so they enjoy riding too. I have seen plenty of dudes buy TTR/CRFs for their loved ones who ride a year or two and stop or end up hating it. Wives deserve and appreciate nice scooters as much as the guys do. You get what you pay for.

Because the fit and finish on the KTM is way better?

Because the KTM is at least 15 pounds lighter?

Because the KTM has electric start which is pretty sweet?

Because the KTM has a hydraulic clutch?

Because after a couple hundred hours the KTM will still feel pretty damn fresh and the Suzuki will feel like a tenured brothel worker?

Because KTM pours millions of dollars into racing of all forms and Suzuki could care less?

Because KTM invests into making bikes that my whole family can ride no matter their age while Suzuki has been parading out Bold New Graphics on the same 2 bikes for about 15 years?

Because KTM is constantly trying to improve bikes and offer different bikes to make riding more fun for all of us while Suzuki doesn't do shit?

Support those that support the sport.  KTM does.  Suzuki does not.

You mad bro 😎

Some of you are crazy, do any of you even know of anyone who has blown up an RMZ?  Acting like they are timebombs compared to a KTM is silly.  I bought new KTMs for years, I got an RMZ and Suzuki let me go to a free ride day. So to say they don't give a shit is also a little off. Lastly, NO DEAD BATTERY EVER. Evil

No, my brother!  Come back to the army, we accept you with open arms.  The person who bought your RMZ is going to hold it wide open at midnight on new years eve for 5 minutes straight, then go rip a sand track the next day.

Are y'all honestly arguing about who buys what dirt bike? Seriously?

Here's how it should go:

Person A - "I bought a dirt bike!"

Person B - "Cool!! Let's go ride!"

I can’t do kickstart. I bought a new TM recently thinking I’d be fine going back to kickstart only, I was way wrong. I have become lazy I guess.
