Seriously... would you choose the orange one? Why??

If II've never seen your m=name in a publication, then to my mind you dont need the orange one!Screenshot 2023-12-28 at 18.41.25

Putting the extra 5k into the RMZ suspension and other upgrades would result in one badass KTM killer ride!

Because the orange matches my Pumpkin spice latte when I drive through Starbucks with my bike it in back of the truck. Any other color would be, UNCIVILIZED. 🤪

But, I agree with Team Green.

As I always say,  if I was in the market for a 450 mx bike, it would hands down be the RMZ.

It's way more than enough motorcycle for the majority of people on this forum.    But but but....KTM etc will put me on the podium.    lol  Self-delusion does marketing's job for them.

If you sell the bike after a season how much do you get for the KTM versus the RMZ? Hint, the difference is not 5k

Good news is you don’t have to sell the RMZ, they’re durable it will likely be current until 2028.

I did once, I got a 20 hour old previous model year 450 for $3400 in like new condition. There are deals to be found out there sometimes in unexpected places.

Stop it. You don’t need any of that. A Suzuki 450 is far more capable then your riding ability.

Because the fit and finish on the KTM is way better?

Because the KTM is at least 15 pounds lighter?

Because the KTM has electric start which is pretty sweet?

Because the KTM has a hydraulic clutch?

Because after a couple hundred hours the KTM will still feel pretty damn fresh and the Suzuki will feel like a tenured brothel worker?

Because KTM pours millions of dollars into racing of all forms and Suzuki could care less?

Because KTM invests into making bikes that my whole family can ride no matter their age while Suzuki has been parading out Bold New Graphics on the same 2 bikes for about 15 years?

Because KTM is constantly trying to improve bikes and offer different bikes to make riding more fun for all of us while Suzuki doesn't do shit?

Support those that support the sport.  KTM does.  Suzuki does not.

And yet 99% of dudes will still be the same speed on whatever bikes they ride. I got friends qualifying for pro nattys on bone stock bikes yet slow guys are talking about their A kit forks 😭😭

I suppose you're not wrong.

I left this part out since it seems like we're talking 450 to 450 in this thread, but I buy KTMs because I want a 350....I'm not like the "Vital Pros" that need all that 450 power.

2 follow up questions:

Where did I mention anything about the KTM making anyone faster?

Do you ride an RMZ?

The ONLY thing that would keep me from buying the Suzuki in that comparison is electric start.  I hate to admit it, but the closer I get to 60, the nicer that magic button is........!

I don't think that I'd ever buy another modern four stroke without electric start.

You're right....Suzuki supporting Kenny to race is on par with KTM having Factory Teams in.... AMA MX/SX, MXGP, Canadian Motocross, Enduro GP, Hard Enduro World Championship, SuperEnduro, American Amateur Motocross, Dakar, Endurocross, US Hard Enduro Championship, GNCC, WORCS, NGPC, AMA West Hare Scrambles etc. etc. etc.

I mean it's not even in the same universe as far as the support each one puts into racing....but hey, you do you.

And not for nothing, but the OP posted ads for a NEW KTM, and a USED Suzuki for comparison..........

Just an observation.

But it is something, your list made is sound like Suzuki  is waging war against motorcycles. But hey, you do you.

This is the only real factor that could be considered a negative.       Bad knees, no go on the kickstart bike.
