I can't think of anyone that should be up there......though I have many posters that I like/liked.

Current Rushmore could not be done today.

Washington - Slave owner

Jefferson - Slave owner

Lincoln - 1st Republican

Teddy Roosevelt - Assumed office after an assassination.., youngest person to be President.

Ah Thx Bro. I usually post when I,m waiting for a dock of waiting in a cage in warehouse, answering a brokers questions or giving him the answers. I would never win a spelling b . But this phone changes spellings . And I add words sometimes in between sentences. Then send it. Then I proof read & it’s like oh those words really don’t belong there. Oh well they can figure most of it out.  I see Big Lenny below . I parked in Compton a few weeks ago at night. I went for de stress walk & was yelling his name. And his nickname Bobby Lee Bobby come out come out from where ever you are. Haha he got mad at me for that 1.  Not a bad name I call myself BLB.

The only reason you survived walking around Compton is because you are one crazy mofo.  Crazy gets a pass most times.

Plowboy, I worked for FMF back in the day. The factory was (is) in Rancho Dominguez just off the 91 East.

Hylton Beattie, my direct boss at the time was also a South African. We grew up in the same village in SA and we knew each other very well.....well enough to pull insane pranks on each other.

So there I am, newish to LA...and new to FMF....Hylton and Danny LaPorte call me to the office and hand me a piece of paper with directions to a timber place in Compton where I was to purchase some boards.

I had never heard of Compton Blink so off I went In Hyton's pickup. I knew something wasnt right when I got to the address and there was no timber shop anywhere.

The people there were eye-balling me and I was feeling very unwelcome.

I found a call box to call Hylton but before I could make a call this dude says to me, boy, ya better get a move on...I say I'm South African and not sure where I'm at..and that I'm looking for timber...he says again boy, you better go now before ya gotta big  problem...he points to dudes across the road. I hear you I say...I'm outta here

I hopped in the pickup and drove off trying to find my way back. I eventually got to the 110 before I realized I was headed in the wrong direction. I got back to the yard after about three hours of fucking around trying to find directions from a map book.

By this time Hylton and Danny were a little concerned but were relieved to see me. They started needleling me..so how was it?...where's the boards we need?...I said I got lost when I couldn't find the timber yard...I said I drove around for for miles and eventually found a strip club, so I used some of the cash for a lunch and a lap dance..

Hylton and Danny just looked me...Stephanie Hodges,  Hylton's PA asked me if I got a receipt as the money needs to be accounted for...at that point I just started laughing..

We all had a good laugh at that and I was then told that Compton is a pretty rough place especially if you ain't a local.

Typical South Africans f@#king with each other...

Lmfao.  I've had a similar experience in Compton but just like you...good people...living in that hell hole came to the rescue.  There are good people out there.  God bless 'em.

I have to agree. Maverick does a hell of a lot for this forum. He’s also a very good guy outside this forum as well.

Not a single mention of MikeeeP?

Pretty sure he was the 1st moto message board but not positive. Mototalk and fresh dirt were the first Motoboards

Hall of shame? RC16

Mutt and Hillbilly were characters. yamaboy did some epic photo chops. Ol Ger was a bible thumper.

I had asked this in another thread (although I thought it was this one) - and someone stated it was just a run-of-the-mill journalist

Scott spoke with DC on the topic - but didnt unmask him(I dont remember who called who). This was around 2013/2014.  His Verizion account information was never posted or made public. The guy cared about the sport deeply and meant well.

No it wasn't Cox.  Grendel actually went on DMXS years back.

@alphado  may remember that night. We were both in the chat talking some shit.

Gren had a North Eastern accent.  I will leave it at that.

It wasn't.

Someone needs to find the old Archive for that DMXS episode that Gren was on.   I wonder if @David Izer could point us to it - I'd assume it still exists somewhere.  I glanced on their site and didnt find it.  I may look again later.

I was looking through an old email account seeing if I could find it - no luck.

OFF Topic. I did find some stuff from back when JS7 got popped for Ad.

I got hit up by several folks working in the industry that had stories on the topic.  I never posted any of it.

This little tidbit was interesting. (I will leave him anon).

Scot Kandel had one helluva program. Was it a bit crazy…was he? Sure! But, who spends a ton of money on privateers…in this sport….that isn’t “crazy”?

He and Bauer had a helluva program. Alongside of the WWR program, I had some direct support goin’ with logistical help from people like Darrel Saldana…spent a few dollars on keeping people like Jiri Dostal and  Jacob Marsack and a few others on the road.

Kawasaki helped me put some VERY nice bikes with a few SR goodies under Jiri for the 2008 SX season, ESPN World Games and X-Games. We had some ridiculously good...and expensive…times. At that time I was able to throw a little support at Ryan Clark’s team, too…like some sneaky cool ti and carbon goodies…even some race fuel…when needed.

Made some great friends back then that’re still around…today.

If you were to bet me $1000 that Jiri Dostal was in the x games, I would lose that bet

Scott's a great guy, with a big heart.

His crazy was always a fun kinda crazy - like spending 6 figures without asking his wife first(on moto stuff).

We had some good laughs back in the day.  He's got great stories too.

I should reach out to him and see what he's been up to.

2008…I remember having a convo with JB10 atop the ramp about the upcoming 2009 season…the dirt ramp down onto the stadium…I believe he was on an MDK KTM…SuperMoto was a thing that year…and it was awesome. Jiri had it too good…4 speed SR 450 that was too damn nice. They play soccer in that stadium these days.

During the next few years, I’d be offered to run a team…the offer came from the title sponsor…to whom I had to say: “Oh, hell NO!” (We were really good friends that got in trouble together in other countries & on other continents and, really, who in their right mind wants to fuck that up?!) I found a guy…who went on to get them a few titles and a new OEM deal…and we all went on to be great friends and co-shit-disturbers…some of us even have breakfast together on Mondays…still…right by our local pool-guy and vital member down in San Clemente…and you wouldn’t believe the shit we talk about…like who’s goin’ where…and wearing what sponsor on thier helmet…or the ice chest biz…or the water biz…or a new trophy truck…🤣

Well, look at that. The shit we can talk about down here in the hidden pseudo-dumbgeon. 😆
