I watched the replay this morning the track much better and racing was good.
but not sold on the series just yet will we see it in 2024 ?
They have new investors for next year who are from the f1 world and understand racing more so so far theres nothing to indicate it wont come back at least for next year. Now if next year has the same problems as this year I could see that being an issue, but them moving to the off season is an obvious huge improvement over this year.
You say 'From the F1 World ' like that is a good thing.
They will struggle for riders, a lot of guys committed and got burned bad this year, they wont be fooled again.
Just do 4 to 6 rounds from mid october til mid december and improve incrementally. Make special Friese-gate that is located deep in the stadium halls riding his own track layout and you are set good.
How is more anything for the sport that interests you bad? More exposure, more money, more jobs, how can any of that be bad?

“This indecisions bugging me….”
It's not a good thing, it's a great thing.
My prediction is there will be changes in the tv package to make most of Vital a lot happier to watch it.
I hate it.
I pay zero attention to it and look at it like an exhibition boxing match.
Leave my sport alone and stop trying to add a bunch of newcomers.
When I tell you I ride motocross, I like that your face scrunches up and you don't understand me,my lifestyle, the feeling, the release it provides me from the day to day grind and you never will.
I've been the grimey dirtbike rider my entire life, Don't act like we are friends now.
Lastly-Bailey is the exact kook I speak of.
Yea theyve said theyre racing in that time slot now from next year on.
I'd be waaaaay more interested if this happened. I think they'd get more of a draw from riders and fans as well.
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori come from the football world rather than F1.
Outside of Kenny nobody made what they were promised...
That’s not true. I know 5 guys, Ken being 6, that made what they were told. The problem is some of these teams fed on guys who don’t read the fine print.
So they were paid the purse money for the races that weren't held....
I beg to differ.. F1 money only stick around when there is stuff to be sold.. who are you gonna sell to when your core audience doesnt GAF.
WSX isnt F1... it isnt even F2, its more like the womens series that folded cos nobody wants to watch.
Kiril Ecloun.
They aren't from the F1 world. The one guy is a 25 year old heir to the Louis-Dreyfus fortune who bought a controlling stake in Sunderland football club at the age of 23. He parties with Lewis Hamilton and is married to the daughter of an Aussie supermodel. I'm guessing that is the connection to Bailey? The other guy is a politician and businessman in Uruguay whose father in law is a billionaire Russian oligarch that owns Monaco football club. These are bored trust fund investors not racing enthusiasts.
I don’t believe you unless you are word smithing. I know personally a guy who raced wsx this year. He was paid by the team a per round salary. He expected more rounds so he definitely wasn’t paid what he expected for the season. I have no reason to doubt his word and he said all(don’t know if that’s a literal all or majority) the riders are paid per race.
If only they did this from when they started, they'd have had everyone onboard from the beginning. Riders and fans.
Pit Row
Why would they have started by an admission of weakness?
Let's put Roczen apart, which is a major breakup by WSX of WSX own rules... First time ever a world championship promoter has to pay with his own money a racer to show up.
For all the others, the fact that WSX was generous with the teams doesn't mean the teams were with the riders.
Anyway, you have to wonder how long generosity can last when you lose money at each round that actually takes place...
Do we really need another WSX love hate thread?
Was purse money promised to them?
I can't see it sticking around with out some changes. They need a better way to deliver their media, if they can deliver their product live to a worldwide audience then the money and sponsors will be there. They also need a better schedule, try not to go head to head with MX, SX, and MXGP.
No but per race salary was and that was reduced by over 50%. If I cut your expected hours in half and in turn reduce your salary by 50 percent(not counting bonuses) you won’t feel misled? You will say you made what you were told for the year? Thought so. Easy to tell others how to feel when it’s not you getting the short end.
Ok, this is what I meant. They got paid everything that was owed for 3 rounds. One was getting pretty good amount per round, he was bummed.
I know they'll be around next year, but how many rounds is the question.
Am I missing it, or does there seem to be some sort of media blackout on the Aus WSX round? I don't see any pods on Vital, Pulp, or Swap? Seems like a big void this week after what is essentially the last race of the year, regardless of the lack of star power in it?
Hate...

It was still more money than if they didn't race at all. These riders are all adults, I would be certain they understand a payment is not complete unless the money is in their hands, and sporting events have been cancelled since there has been sporting events. Shit happens in lots of business dealings, not just pro MX. I would be certain the WSX organizers had no intention of anybody not earning what they were expecting to earn.
