It was awesome to see him rip switchback, even though I didn't need anymore reminders of how slow I am....

But man I sure loved the Eleven 10 Mod days. Wasn't there a sweet holeshot photo with Durham outdoors somewhere?

I don't remember a holeshot photo, but this one is pretty cool...

The Eleven 10 bikes absolutely ripped. And DD passed Baggett on a straight and waved.

Ah yes, my bad.

Zycki11, yes that was sometimes true. I think Sanner maybe took on more than he could handle but the guy can build a fast engine.

He built me a super gnarly kx250f to all his highest race specs. I sold it to a guy who used it for gncc races which I advised against as I had it rebuilt and gone over constantly with only 20-25 hours on it I think. He never really touched it went through all their puddles and mud holes and bs and didn’t touch it and never had an issue.

That's awesome. A lot of locals around here ran their stuff, me included. It was a good operation but we know how things kinda got a little sideways. Sanner is a good dude. A couple years ago he was riding again and I'd see him at Switchback often. He raced HP Vet Nat. It was cool to see him out and around. And he was still fast. Haven't seen him lately but I like all of those guys from that crew.

Haha yeah before sx when I got that bike I rode it. Was absolutely insane for a sx track. Triples were way larger and landings were way more sketch.

They definitely had some crusty moto punk vibe going on, which was lots of fun to see in the more modern/corp racing world.

Speaking of the Eleven 10 Mods supercross track, there are some older posts on their FB page about selling the half acre house/shop and the 46 acres with tracks, but I don't think they've actually listed it..

Remember reading the story of Darryn going to the Pro Circuit office to sign his Pro Circuit contract only to realise the said picture of DD passing TR was the desktop background of some guys at the headquarter.

One of my all time favorite riders! DD has some of the most underrated riding technique/form and was so much fun to watch shred in his prime, super knowledgeable about bike setup/mechanics, not afraid to stand out and take a different approach towards things. For whatever reason I don’t think we ever saw his true potential indoors and out, my favorite one to look back on and think “What if?”

I think hes just riding for fun, still visits cali alot and you see that with Patrick Evans posting clips and videos of him. He rode a little at the first redbull imagination and in a few recent videos done by "the viewing" hes still got it!

Yeah, with the whole PR2 thing him, his brother and dad are all really smart about set-ups and what not. I'm not sure if Darryn is involved at all at the moment but his brother pretty much runs it now. But as far as riding DD has amazing, natural style, like you said.
