Sick racing.  Track seems better tonight with the better riders elevating what’s possible and using the outsides.

20,000 in the stands is legit.

Well Friese just ruined whatever value there was in watching tonight. Racing move but he can’t help himself.

Can we get a camera in the pits to see if Joey and Friese are having a chat? Wink

First ever WSX race that actually vaguely looks like supercross...

Happy for Anstie -who won two titles in two days.

Still, Roczen double world champion by winning 5 races with no challenge whatsoever is just a huge joke.

Laughing

The SX championship for people who don't know anything about SX.

Better than 2004.

to me it feels like it’s on an upswings.  Came in all guns blazing… fell apart through the middle and has now changed, money, organization structure, brought on investors with live and sponsorship connections, and humbled themselves and Have said they will  move to an off season championship.

all good news.

The big question mark for me is will they get the riders with the SMX series? Most of the riders on the current teams were signed before SMX was announced or were barely/not racing supercross anyway.

any 2024 WSX silly season rumours?

They're trying to grow the sport so I will continue to watch them, I doubt it could get any worse so next year could actually be good. I look at it more of an exhibition type event which helps riders extend their career. Nothing will replace Ama Supercross

Yeah super low.

20,000 fans on the other side of the world to America just had the chance to watch one of the best supercross racers ever (arguable) race on a full size supercross track in a stadium.  It’s so sick.

big props to Adam Bailey and the crew for making this possible.

Yeah Empire Kawasaki by the sounds of it,

The racing was pretty boring, wasn’t too much going on out there and not even Vince could liven it up this time..

They need to build better tracks. Don’t track builders understand a 90 degree corner in and out of a whoop section essentially creates 1 line and very limited passing opportunity??

Open up the first corner into more of a sweeper, not just a sharp U turn. Bring in an over/under bridge perhaps. They’ve got an opportunity to create something unique on this “World” stage and half the issue is the tracks and/or venues (in Abu Dhabi’s case).

They should look at running a super motocross style set up in the mxgp off season and market it towards the mxgp contigent with select AMA/other nations riders etc (it already only runs 3-5 races doesn’t it?). It’s never going to be the premier Supercross c’ship and should steer away from the world Supercross championship logo that every knowledgeable fan scoffs at when they hear it.

100% I just got back, racing all night was close, plenty of passing all through the field, crowd was well and truly into it.

And the best part of it all, I was able to see Kenny race and fuck is he good.

It is the first time I have sat in the stands and watched a Supercross in Australia since 2009, Normally I am shooting and covering them, but decided to just sit up in the stands with my boy and watch and so glad I did. Apart from the line up to get into the venue it was a great night all round.

And then 3 mins of GL narrating us looking at every one standing around after the race. 🤦🏻‍♂️

You know what would have been good to fill that time with? Fuck me.
