A 6 pack of beer. In each hand. That’s the ONLY 6 pack he is sporting.

My take on it is he’s not “off the pace” from what he was as much as some of these new riders (I.e. Lawrence Bros) are just on another pace.  6-9 might be a stretch; give him some credit, he’s historically a top 5 rider. He will be a factor in the 2024 SX for top 5’s and podiums.  Unfortunately as we’ve all seen, injuries can derail rider’s championship hopes, so I think it’s premature to say he needs to give up racing. He’s just another rider to make it interesting in a stacked field.

He hasn't beaten Kenny every time they've raced 450 SX.  He moved up to 450s in 2017 - Anaheim 1 Kenny was 1st, Webb 10th, next race, Kenny 1st, Webb 14th, then Kenny had his horrific crash. We all know how much this derailed Kenny and how gnarly he is for even coming back.

I’m beating a dead horse but he hasn’t shown he can be in shape without Aldon. When he went to KTM Decoster said they knew he wasn’t in shape and a condition of his signing was to train at Baker’s

Some of y'all have short term memory. Dude got third overall in 23' SX without even starting the last three races.

I don't think the star guys would put up with an out of shape webb, seems like a no nonsense group.

Webb has only been the guy when he was on 250s.

When has Webb been known for his speed on a 450? Both of his championships he wasn't the fastest, he did it through his race craft.

Outdoors shows who's the most skilled the fastest on a 450 Webb has never been close.

That being said there's going to be 4-5 guys this year who have elite speed that Webb won't be able to match not because Webb has slowed up its just the tippity top is that much faster.

Last season I believe that's the fastest Webb has gone around a SX track trying to chase Eli but it's just not enough.

This is the first time post major crash Ken has given his body a rest, he's back to being close to what he was before his major injury.

The member you quoted was discussing last year. You don't even know what you are arguing about. Or maybe you are just trying to end around me. Both?

He was talking about last year, I was not. I was talking about his career. You will see my comment a couple times referring to that.

RV2 and RD5 won all 450 titles from 11-17. After that there have been 4 different guys to win  those 6 opportunities, Webb having 2 of them. Webb has won it 2 of his 7 attempts, meaning he wins the 450sx title 29% of the time he attempts it. If you wanted to get more detailed, he didn’t get to finish  18 or 23. Meaning he has won the title 2 of the 5 completed 450sx seasons or a 40% champion average.

I’m not a Webb die hard. But to say it’s over for him is bananas.

And no he had never been the fastest guy out there, he wins the same way RD5 did it.

I wanna like Webb, because he's genuine and does not flash a fake smile all the time like some others.  Then I go back to his "he cracked; I didn't" comment about AC, and just can't get past it.

Haven't and won't read 5 pages of what no doubt is filled with Webb haters.    Jealousy and pettiness are such ugly human traits.

Whether Webb's best days are behind him or not.... thank you to the 2X Supercross champ for some of the best racing and finishes ever seen in this sport.   Nobody can ever take that away.

Webb will have to work his ass off to remain in the top 5 this year.  It's in him, and I'm a fan, but the heat is on.  It has been a long time since the talent in the top 10 has been this extreme.   No room for mistakes and if he isn't in shape at the gate drop at A1 he will not catch up.    I hope he comes with an edge to him as he will need it....

Absolutely. Last year at Paris he was 4-8 seconds off Tomac for 2 nights.

those are great pics. I need to hire you to take some of me. Seems like you got a knack for making slow riders look fast.

Hmmm. I'm not sure which group to believe:

1) Webb's done, Tomac is done, Hunter won't be friends with his brother anymore, Jett's the 2nd coming of MC.
2) Jett and Hunter are nobodys, Sexton got lucky and will never win again, Tomac will ride the first perfect SX season.
3) Jett, Tomac, Sexton and now Hunter are going to be easy prey for guys like Anderson, Roczen, and Webb.
4) Jett only needs 4.2 perfect seasons to match MC's win record!

As for me, I think it's going to be a tough season at the pointy end of the field. Webb hasn't shown me anything special since coming back on a Yamaha, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt for now. You never know when he might start kicking ass and taking names.
