If you are talking about the one in Southern California, than I remember it. I think it closed. Maybe 15+ years ago

Yup, I raced there on 80s as well. I still remember this kid Kelly Rincon I used to be intimdated by cause he was so quick. I pushed hard to try and keep his pace.

It was there that I first rode a SX track. A friend on mine got me in while Dubach was doing some testing.

A SX track and a YZ/WR500 don't mix well!!

sure do... that place was sweet! uphill start, cool tabletops on that front straight, wound through the hills a bit, nice berms... and they used to hold some hill climb comp's out there too. i also remember when bikes were switching from 18" to 19" rear tires, dubach tested the two out there and he felt faster on the 18 but lap times told a different story.

cool memories, thanks.

i member going there with my bud the stoutman and watching him win both the 125 and 250 pro class in 79 or 80.that was a good fast track for the area it was in.the dirt was kind of blue and sticky he said.i never raced but allways went with rick to watch.i wonder if you can sneek in?there was plenty of rattle snakes around there in the spring and summer.alot of people wood race there once or twice and never come back cause of the heat.mostly all the orange county pussys cause it was to hot just like rawhide park was in the summer.the hotter it was the faster stout wood go cause he was working in construction and loved the hot days of summer.bring back de anza cycle park.the great white dolemite

A fun place to visit. One of the hotshots that rode the place regularly was a kid by the name of Doug McGowan. The whole family used to ride out there - way cool people.
There was a big dropoff on the other side of the pits from the track and I used to use it to perfect my crusty tricks <img class= " title="Laughing">

First place I ever raced! 1974 was actually a High School race. Riversides North High versus Palm Springs.

We also use to sneak in thru a tunnel under the freeway from an area called the badlands.

My last race as a Pro in 1985 there. I did not ride an MX bike again for 15 years. KC

Remember the mad rush to get out of that place when it rained? I pulled off the track mid-moto, dropped my bike in the back of my Ranchero, and hauling ass out of there before having to be pulled out by tractor...

I used to race Doublecross Grand Prix races in the early '90s out there on my '89 CR500, riding in the 500 Junior and the Vet Junior class. 45 minute motos, and let me tell you, that 500cc freight train would kick your booty if you were not in shape!
That dirt (if you can call it that) there was like concrete coated with elephant snot when it was wet...but the track layout itself was awesome. Another late, lamented So. Calif. track...snif
