Lets make this clear!! All of you will see on TV tomorrow what happened... By no means did i have any "at fault" in landing on James tonight... Trust me when i tell you this ppl. THATS THE LAST THING I WANT TO DO!!! I mean Im not anywhere near the guys speed thats obvious... So ill tell you guys what happened that werent there... I got about a 7th place start you go off the start hit a little rhythm section go left there was a little like triple over a 3-5-3 that we were tripling right before the big triple... We both jumped the triple i was all the way to the right when i jumped it.. Stewart came all the way from the left side of the jump to the right side of the jump in the air... I had no where to go... you will see on speed tomorrow what i am saying..... I have been doing this for a long time and i would own up to something if i did it even on accident but this WAS NOT my fault...

that's pretty much how they called it on the webcast, and actually a lot of riders just in this past week have called james out on riding like that,

Kyle describes what I saw as well except he exaggerates that he came "all the way from the left." James moved over in the air causing Kyle to land on him for sure.

Im not exaggerating at all bud i was on the bike the guy was on the left side of the triple I dont know if he hit the jump wrong or something but he shot in front of me from the left so fast that thats all i can think happened.. When we were in the air he looked over at me almost to me like ohhhhhh f*ck this is going to hurt watch it on the tv you will see im not exaggerating... Im not saying the guy was hugging the tuff blocks on the left side of the triple but there was no one next to him on the left so he must of come from pretty far over

Then you are saying what I am saying. He didn't come from "all the way over." He came from somewhere closer to the middle or closer to you and pinched you off from landing safely.

No argument here, just semantics. It was an ugly crash.

either way you want to say it.. I feel it could of been very easily prevented I mean everyone on this board knows theres not many people if anyone faster than him... Dungey is starting to make me think otherwise. but i mean he could of been a little more patient i think it was the first lap and who am i kidding? i got a pretty slim chance of beating the guy... The heat race other than reed wasnt that stacked against him... I have all the respect in the world for james the guys amazing on a motorcycle i went over and talked to Larry Brooks after the race to make sure james was ok... I guess its racing i just think it was kind of stupid of him to do...

Crashes happen in MX for a lot of reasons. Just be glad that both of you walked away from it and "let it ride."

Good to hear it from the horses mouth, so to speak. I don't think anyone was really blaming you for it anyway. It was noted last week by Dungey and Reed last year that James has a habit of moving over on people when going over the triples. There are a few James fans who think James can do no wrong, but i'm sure you know that, so just try to ignore them if you can, because you know a hell of a lot more than they do about what happened .......

Saw him do it to Damon Huffman at Phoenix in 2005 in practice, about a lap before he broke his wrist

It was obviously a stupid move. Even a Beg knows to hold their line and not drift into another rider's path. Unfortunately - for a lot of riders he has banged into over the years - Stewart doesn't seem to think he needs to hold his line around other riders. Plenty of history of him doing that.

Being patient and waiting to make a 'smart' pass is a part of racing too. A part that most champions learn.

I just dont want a bunch of people bashing on me for something i had no control of you know what i mean... James is absolutely amazing on a dirt bike.. I have a lot of respect for the guy and his team.. Sean Kranyak is someone i can say is one of my best friends.. " son of mike kranyak" the owner of the team.. I would never try and do something thats going to take a guy out of a championship..

Dont sweat it man.
James is a man under pressure, and when people are under pressure they will sometimes do stupid things.

What incident with Travis Preston are you referring to?

I think he's talking about the canadian sx where stewy jumped off the track then re entered the track on the landing of a double w/out looking to see if anyone was coming.. TP landed off the double and drove right into JS and hurt himself pretty good...JS has like that day consistently shown no respect for any other racers.. It's his track and nobody else belongs on it.

I'm sure that is what he was talking about and that was nothing like what happened tonight. Also, how many times has Josh Grant or Chad Reed crashed on a jump with James. Never that I know of. James and Chad have touched over jumps, but guess what, it's the Pros and stuff like that happens. Just like dudes get hit wrong in football, and guys get hit by balls in baseball, and guys fall wrong in baskeball, it's all part of the sport. Get over it. It's not the first time it has happened and it won't be the last.

I haven't seen the race yet KP but you have always been a straight up dude and I'm a fan.(tall rider myself.Lol) If you look at the last lap of A-1 I think JS moved over on purpose on RD to block him.(not dirty but still an Emig move). So,JS is super fast and thinks he owns every line. Probably why he has been called by many as the "fastest man on the planet".(on an SX bike till RD).So,no worries KP. Keep moving forward.Let the chips fall where they may.

Just because it happens it doesn't make it right. Moving over on a guy in the air is not only dirty but it's life threatening and just plain stupid. Somebody needs to put that kid in check in my opinion.
