I'd be surprised if this happens. While I am confident that Byrne still has it, A1 was awful for him.

I think this is what Byrne was hoping for, and that is why he was buying his own bikes, etc. So there wouldn't be conflicts. I hope JGR does pick up a rider to replace Grant, cause there are lots of deserving guys out there!

Would be a good deal for Burner. only problem is it will be temp status only. He's proven hiimself in the upper level but still doesn't get a decent ride. Hope he finds a good team permanently for the Nationals at least.

Burner's biggest sponsor in 2010 is Answer gear and JGR is sponsored by Shift Gear. I would dought Burner would give up the the only money he has coming in to be a fill in rider.
But hey, I could be wrong. Things are tough these days.

Im sure in a situation like this that they would let Byrner out of the contract to pursue it.

Could be a precursor .He could shine at the Nats on one of their bikes.

It wouldn't surprise if they signed Byrne to be honest. I remember this past summer JGR saying that they owe it to their sponsors to have their names out there. And with Byrne's fan base and his respectable personality, that could be a great deal for both parties.

Dont get me wrong, I love Byrner. He has a great personality and would represent any team well, he's got top 10 speed for sure. It just in this day and age its not what have you done lately, its what did you do last week.

Byrne is Byrned out.. That guy has had more than enough chances on factory teams. I never said Chisholm was up and coming.. He's had a lot of injuries though I know that and last year he had a chance on a good team but had a bad knee all year. Everyone needs to give the guy a break he made a mistake it's old news! Look @ how Boni and Voss ride every weekend! And stroupe last weekend! Chizzy is a good kid. I didn't say he should be the one to get it.. I just said Byrne doesn't deserve another chance!

There are some sponsor issues with Answer...and possibly even an energy drink co.

I'll bet he shows up wearing his answer stuff in a very specific color-way.

There are certain gaurantees gained by putting the 26 under their tent.

Coy and J-Bone are pretty damn smart. This would make a lot of people happy and keep -2- JGR bikes in the night program.

I'm jus' sayin'...

That temp status could (and i think would) lead to something bigger and better though if he can get some results. I hope this is a legit rumor though. That would be good for him.

Swizcore is right.. What did byrne get last weekend? 15th?? My point exactly he "has" been a top 10 rider.. And what he did good in outdoors?? Without stewart, Alessi, langston, JG, reed at some of them K dub and plenty of other guys.. I would HOPE he did good!
