'73? I don't remember Honda's having forward mount shocks back then.

69 was Decoster. I got to watch those Trans-AMA races there when I was a teenager. One of those years his frame broke in half after landing the main straight jump at 70mph. He was not a happy camper.

Rich Eierstedt, Jim West, Steve Stackable, Rich thorwadlson, Tony D., B. Aberg, Roger Decoster, jim Pomeroy, Jimmy Ellis , Jimmy Winert,Adolf Weil, Hans Masch(?) 34 on the Maico might be Marty Tripes or Gaylon Mosier. I think the year is 74, that was the first time I went to Road Atlanta for the Trans Am. That was the year that Decoster ran #69. Cool Pic and cool memories.

The good ole days, when anyone could work on a bike and make it go.

Of course those bikes needed a lot of TLC on a daily basis!

Then that would probably mean the race was in 74'. Good eye. Is that Lackey?

Who is riding the CCM? John Banks maybe?

Def a good one for FTE or BoobyM

My guesses are...

#20 Hon Holeshot = Eierstadt
#21 Mai = Stackable
#12 Bul = Pomeroy
#69 Suz = The Man
#7 Kaw = The Jammer
#6 Can = Ellis
#9 Hus = Lackey

I think that would be '75 judging by the tank shape on the Bultaco Pursangs. Also Roger is on a RN74 with downpipe and in '75 he had the new bike with up pipe.

I was lucky enough to have at least raced with some of those guys....they used to come down and do the Winter Ams back then. I was so nervous, I stalled the bike on the starting line....Pro Class, stall the bike...LOL

[color=red:1ff76]If I recall, they had a seperate place for oil. At least I know my Dads 1976 TM250 did/does. Not sure about other brands.

So, if that is true for all machines back then, there was no pre-mix. But I still know what you meant. <img class= " title="Laughing">

Nobody ever ran the fufu oil injection in a race bike, first thing to go on race prep.

Hey FLvet good call on Bauer, I think he moved Suzuki that fall to race the 250 gp's the next year. is that him on 77? The bike on the far right is Harry Everts on a Puch. That thing wasan't hand made it was hand carved. Friday that is my real name. Not from Ohio but the same Clan.
