What was the question again?

I got all excited thinking about what kind of fun I could have if I had 4 million dollars and kind of lost track of things.

Thanks for the Office space remarks, you guys made my day. Also i'd take the $4million and call it a career and then just have fun on a bike like MC and RC do.

When you are young, you go for glory. When you get a few years, you understand you need to take the money.

I am amazed how many great multi-time MX champions are walking around the pits each week, and most "fans" don't even recognize them. They just run past them to get an autograph from some kid that made the podium in a Lites race two weeks earlier.

Travis Pastrana isnt chasing SX Championships and look at his success. Just point out that Championships aren't everything. Reed stated that he didn't care for the Suzuki. And I honestly believe the bike isnt holding him back. The world around him has gained speed, stamina and skill. How do you combat that?

take the money.
It's not the bike, it's the rider. Well, unless you are talking about KTM. There is always an exception.
Yea, KTM has never won anything. (sarcasm alert, for the sarcasticly challenged)

The Mistake?

The mistake is NOT putting a front wheel on that thing and GOIN' BACK out there...

He had an opportunity to pick up a few more points (Byrne, for instance...proll'y Lawrence, too).

He was 4+ seconds a lap faster than them -AND- Byrne went Waaaaaaay back...Lawrence faded pretty badly, too...who knows "Who-else" he could have caught.

How many points determined LAST YEARS title, again?

BTW, wheels are usually in the tunnel and can be changed real quick...

bullshit...the mistake was when the 2nd best sx racer in the world gets squirrely off the gate and gets pinched 20 feet out by some substitute riding a 450.

Yea, chad is an idiot.

Monster needed an Aussie Athlete AND title sponsored his SuperX series to boot.

Chances are good that he'll carry them into his Aussie car career after his two years at kawi is up. Sound Familiar? Need another parallel. Who was the last top 3 rider to start his family around the same time he signs his last mx contract?

There is a much bigger picture for him, just like all the experts speculating in the: "chad must take out everyone in the field at phoenix thread."

Keep in mind we are talking about a guy who went all in on himself last summer.
I have heard a rumour down here he is already signed with Monster for V8 Supercars when he finishes racing MX/SX,

They are both going to enter the Sport at the same time apparently.

You've also got to factor in that he got a two year deal with Kawi/Monster, and was possible only likely to get another one year deal with Suzuki. That's two more shots at the title, which given last weekend's events might turn out to be a good move.

And he's said on more than occasion that racing is not his whole life, to me he obviously thinks a lot about what life is going to be after he stops riding.

Reeds slightly gay earrings are probably worth more than my truck, so, I'm not going second guess his business decisions.

Not to mention that, according to himself, last year he made more money from his investments that he made from racing...

Me either, Reed will be racing cars in Aus, not US so he has to turn left and right.

Once upon a time, best SX rider in the world was taken out of a race by a broken beer bottle. Shit happens and it was 1 race, it's a long season, hang in there.

What's up Myersdork?

Actually, the mistake happened when Reed ran his front wheel into Stroupe's footpeg during the first lap. Looked like Reed wanted to get a little retaliation for Stroupe's wild start but ended up taking himself out of the race. Probably wishing he could get a mulligan on that one.

So is it official? Chad is the most talked about rider on forums?

But, if I think of it this way...what else does Chad have to prove? He has 2 supercross titles and a MX title. I'd take the 4mill, finish my career and never have to work again.Cool

Great question.

I like a challenge. Depending on how awful the bike was to start with.....I'd actually take the 'inferior' bike if I had the time to test it....and even better if I had my 'dialled' bike on hand to compare it with....

As long as I was having fun.
