It's a shame they booted out Nagl a couple weeks before this event for no reason in the first place. Nagl put 15-20 seconds on Koch regularly in the MX Masters this year and they replaced him without telling him why. I guess it's karma. But Kenny winning the MXGP class this weekend would be sick either way!

The official statement was, that they will build a young Team for the future.

Thats why Spiesi was the 4th rider.

Congrats to France and great job by the Aussies! They will both be fighting for this title for years to come. If the US could put their egos and politics aside and send the best of the best, they’d be right there in the mix as well.  Hopefully we can pull our heads out of our ass at some point.

Massive salute to AP, CC and RJ for rising up and representing. Great weekend of racing.

Agreed . I’m also liking the looks of that young Belgian team too . They are going to be a force again .

I have been following this race for a long time now , and I don’t remember a time when there were so many countries who had a rider fully capable of putting in a top ten ride . (Dylan 😭) . France is clearly leading the charge now but the diversity is a very good sign for moto . Japan needs to be there next year … go Jo !

Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to send Christian Craig to the MXON?

1. hasn’t raced one outdoor national this year

2. Basically just got back to doing full motos

3. any other American in the top 10 of the USA would have been a better choice.

I know it's not the result you guys wanted, but full respect to the riders that stepped up to represent and tried their best.

Because he was the only one willing to go or could go.

If it wasn’t Craig, probably there wouldn’t been a US team on the gate.

So probs and tumbs up for Craig to show up and give it a go.

I agree with team Finland, they had a horrendous day. Still not sure with the outcome, some pretty big crashes from them.

I don’t know if I buy this. I don’t think having an all Austrian bike brand team helps.

I give Craig credit for going but he didn’t have a single decent result: there were lots of Americans that were well below his top speed that would have gotten a result.

When you have talent you have talent. Think about how much less Roczen rides Motocross now and even the last 4-5 years and he can still cross a pond and do that well. Didn’t expect him to win the MXGP class.

Well thats awfull logic.

Going for youth if it is the coenen twins or reisulis kids makes sense. But Koch is like 25 and will never be a contender at this level. Picking him over Nagl likely cost them a podium

Ryder D said he was asked and turned it down. So that gives you an idea how far down the list they had to go to find someone willing. Who else could they have asked? Pierce Brown? Talon Hawkins? Dolan Schwartz? Would you trust any of those guys over Craig on a factory bike? Craig has put in solid 450 outdoors results. I just don’t know who you think was willing and available to go who would have been a better choice.

A rider that hasn’t been mentioned much today which is not a suprise because we didn’t see much of him, and the fact we didn’t see much of him is a surprise too.. Jago Geerts? I expected more from him on the 450, maybe not a moto win but at least to be up there battle top 3-5. He was locked up in the middle all time.?

100%. For sure they have to regret their decision if they watch the probably biggest MXON yet on TV. That's a once in a lifetime experience for some of these riders. I would give everything I have to ride there if I was a pro rider. Look at the "Hunter brothers". For them it wasn't even a question if they ride again and Jett already talked about next year.

Ty Masterpool would have been a great choice. If not for his current situation with his appendix
