Yep, Wright would have placed well which would have been better on Ryder and Pettis even though Pettis did ride well

Pettis finished 12th but was penalized 2 spots for jumping on a yellow flag.

I thought pro riders were allowed to jump on yellow.

I just wanna cave someone's head in... i know that Kovář's bike tends to rocket itself but getting DNQed by having spare in pit seems too dumb to believe. Sick

19th would not set world on fire but it was giving points to others that could have mattered.

My appologies to others for a brief lesson of czech language.

Found that in the FIM rulebook, seems a little harsher than the AMA one maybe?

A couple more obs.

The "Time remaining clock" hanging from the finish line structure is a nice touch for the riders.

The 'tree log fence posts", complete with bark still attached holding up the nets looks cool but I wouldn't want to drift off the track and hit one.

AP mentioned in his interview something about the rules for a yellow flag were different.

I have never liked how AMA pro’s being able to just ignore the yellow flags.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there is no difference between a stationary and waved flag in the US, riders pretty much ignore it as you said

the FIM did come round to HRC just to further clarify that the rules for the yellow flag were different from the US, and to make sure that the Lawrence's were aware of it

i don't know for sure that they did it for anyone else (but I'd assume, yes), but they were definitely aware that some riders are not used to the FIM rules here

That is BS by the way because the first 5 riders in the MXGP race all jumped on waved yellows and none got a penalty. Extremely sympathetic to Canadas day, like us you were screwed before it even began

But the US utilizes the Red Cross flag a little different, in the US Red Cross flag doesn't always mean that there are medical personnel on the track....so the US Red Cross would be a mix of a waving yellow and Red Cross in the GP's

I think team USA did fine.

Didn't ap and rj both fall? Maybe they got it out of their systems.

Hopefully Craig will loosen up a bit.

Still solid finishes that show we are a contender for first.

It isn't over until the last moto and if our guys keep their wits and just put in their best rides they can do it.

I want to see AP on the top step. First Cowboy hat ever!

Go team USA!

Well if that's the case that's not very fair. In our case the 2 spots didn't make a difference, but still, if they're going to enforce the rules it should be for everyone.

Just my opinion.

If the qualifying races count towards his big bike career, then you need to add another defeat since Ferrandis beat him last year.

You’re counting a qualifier race? So are we gonna count the AMA’s practice times too since that’s how you qualify for the mains?

Unfortunately coldenhoff is out injured. Crashed with Gifting the Swede. Broken ribs and concussion according to GateDrop. There goes the train for Netherlands. Sad but it is what it is.

Renaux also won moto 3 at Red Bud last year. Everyone seems to forget that and thinks Lawrence won that moto just because he finished in front of Sexton.

No need to throw a dart at Jett...  If you watched that moto, you know.  It was a 20 minute race, a 30 and he wins it with a 5 second lead.  Tomorrow we get to see Jett and Gajser and Febvre and Prado and Roczen go at it...  Add in Renaux in the last one too.

I wish I could type Tomac and Sexton in there...  But it wasn't meant to be.

Still a great time to be a moto fan.

I don't think any of us Americans thought we were going to win. Hell, I'm happy we have a team there!

Damn, that sucks...
Hopefully Kay and Calvin can have some good individual races. They're lucky that Calvin didn't crash harder with Harlan or they wouldn't have qualified
