Well again, that was the originally announced plan. But there will be 31 races on 2024 schedule.*
*According to the podcasts I’ve heard where they discussed it. If it turns out that that information is wrong, I’ll be glad. I’d personally prefer 15 SX, 12 MX, 3 SMX.
I’m not claiming inside sources as I only know one person that races 450 class. However, he said he was told 17 sx rounds next year and then they would TRY for 16 rounds in 2025.

Im curious if atlanta is off the schedule when was last time atlanta didnt have a race. We started going in 04 and i didnt miss one until 22 (working in Arizona) but my grandson went (i footed the bill for several people to make that happen). So i consider the streak still alive!!
Hate to see atl lose out.
The real Daytona race is March 7th.

No more Oakland!! YES, it's about time. By SF, you mean Oracle Park, hopefully? Lots of things to do in SF before and after the race, not so much at Levi Stadium, and ZERO in Oakland.
Atlanta first had an SX in 1977. Since then, 1987 and 1988 are the only years they didn't have an event.

Yeah sad for sure. To be fair I went to Atlanta every year since they had it at the speedway and the attendance got lighter and lighter every year. I heard last year that Nashville was a trial run to replace Atlanta. I’m shocked that they are replacing Tampa with Birmingham though.

Glad to see Birmingham on the schedule. Protective is a nice, new stadium with a Sheraton and Westin right next door. Easy access to the interstate. Drive a beater and leave your good stuff at home though. And get the hell out of town ASAP after the race unless you want to be on "48 Hours"

Sucks to be a semi-driver or a privateer for Supercross. Anaheim to Detroit back to Glendale to Arlington to Daytona? Indianapolis to Seattle back to St. Louis to Foxborough to Nashville back to Philadelphia. Ouch.
The outdoors schedule is really looking tired. We really need a couple of new tracks on that schedule. Simply adding some new man made outdoor supercross obstacles to the existing track layouts isn't working anymore.

Damnit. Philly is a day race. Went to Nashville this year for my first ever SX, was hoping to see a night show and Philly is close.
Odd Atlanta was removed. In the late 00s and early-mid 10s, that place was sold out. They even went there twice at least one of the years and had high capacity crowds both times. Switched to the speedway and then I guess that was that? Strange to see such a popular stop in recent times just get dropped completely.
New rumor is that Atlanta is getting an SMX playoff round.
