Zacho announcement MXdN?

Am I late to the party or did I misread Zacho wants to go to MXdN?  Zacho, AP, RJ?  I'd sure as hell support the team.  This race is all about tradition and patriotism.

Sorry if already posted something on it.

Not American but that would be cool to see 👍

Zacho always wants to go haha. There's been absolutely no announcement that he's actually being considered. I'd love to see him there but can't see it happening.

It is posted in one of the MXDN threads. It definitely deserves its own thread, hopefully the usual suspects don’t show up in this thread and start throwing poop at each other, like the other threads.👍

I'm more than cool with Zach.  Dude is made of raw hide and sprung steel.  And apparently has a bit of pride.

I think it's fairly clear to see that we can't count on the AMA, the teams or mfg's, or even some of our top riders to place any importance on this event.  So be it.

That leaves the fans footing the bill.  There are some really savvy dudes right here on Vital that know how to get this done.  I don't think it'd be that hard to find 3 pros willing...I mean ready to kill...to be on the team.

We may never see another podium but I can live with that.

I assume Zach knows the GNCC schedule, but he volunteered himself for MXDN, even offered to pay his own way with good equipment.  Would be surprised if he goes, but the excuse better not be there were not 3 dudes willing to do the race.

You got to let him cook. He will race his way back into shape..

Also, I vote for Mike Brown, and ZachO to go.

So you think his result on a borrowed 22 year-old YZ250 at a festival-atmosphere race is indicative of his true ability?

For the sake of this conversation and what spurred it...does it really matter?  He's willing to pay his own way and line up.  Who else have we got?  He cut through all the seemingly insurmountable obstacles the rest can't manage.  Captain Zach.Woohoo

To be fair the last pro MX race he did was last year here at Walton and it didn’t go well at all. Even before he tipped over he faded pretty bad

You realize we're way past trying to field a winning team, right?

Believe me...I'm saddened by what seems to be coming more true with each day.   Sad

Yeah the AMA cancelling the fundraiser and refunding the donations was probably a big hint lol

I think the Craig story still has some life in it...  I'll hold on to that until they tell me otherwise.  And if he's healthy and in shape, I'm good with that team.  Just go back and watch Fox 1 from 2022 for inspiration.

I thought the "official" entry deadline had already passed and we were granted an extension...which surely is about to expire.

Just a guess, but I suspect they submitted Pless - Hampshire - Vohland.  Then they have a decent amount of time to submit an alternate.  I think they're just using the rules to their advantage.  Vohland can't go, in comes the alternate.

Masterpool, Zacho and brownie. I think is Americans would rally behind that (like Puerto Rico 2018) more than whoever they send

He wasn't doing 3 hour GNCC races at that time either.  I just want guys that it means something to them, not guys that this is just a vacation.  Zacho has been vocal over the years about it being the most important race.  AP has not turned it down and was ready to step up.  RJ has also been vocal that he wants to be on the team.  Send guys that have the heart and want to be there.  We need to quit acting like this is a vacation week.  This is us going to war and we need guys with that same mentality.

the sad part is the fans, indirectly, fund all of it already.  Everything you see in mx and sx is paid for by the things you buy, and in hope of the things you'll continue to buy.

He’s been saying this for a while. I’m all for it but our current MXoN situation would never allow something like that. Can we please get a team manger that isn’t at them helm of 3 factory teams in the US?
