I have three or four Dutch nobodies racing the nationals next year on bikes that I buy. They will be here this winter to train in California, and they stay in my house and don't pay one cent for anything. Ask around if you dont believe me.
I do it because I love the sport and I believe in their potential. Some of the greatest riders come from very humble beginnings. Two years ago Rick was going to quit and go back to school - then he raced here and decided to give it one more shot and now he's not doing so badly.
Sometimes these kids who only race in sand come here and see that they are actually pretty good, they just need to believe in themselves.
