Official MXoN 2023 entries

What a fucking shit show. The MXoN holds just as much prestige as it always has, you can tell by how much every other country commits to the event. Only since the US team started losing did we hear from some riders, fans, and journalists about how the MXoN doesn't matter any more.

It was deleted because you posted the 2022 team. The 2023 team is the same, however it wasn't known at the time.

Also, in 2022 Coldenhoff was in the MXGP class and Vlaanderen was in the Open class.

For 2023 those two are switching classes.

Minor change.

How are they able to send a team overseas? USA (Greatest nation in the entire universe) can't send a team because we need 8 full works bikes, mechanics, spare parts, our girlfriend, dog, trainer, family, 5 star hotel and business class flights, and we also need to be 2 WEEKS before the event to beat jet-lag, oh! And don't forget, we need the track smooth otherwise the event is rigged for the europeans.

How about Hawkins, Schwartz, Braswell, Mumford, Brown, Kilroy, Masterpool. It'S not like there's a shortage of US riders ffs

from the sounds of it, it has to be a factory ktm or factory honda rider, no one to send from Honda, so we're down to the Austrian group of riders

As an American and a huge fan of MX of Nations, this is super disappointing and embarrassing.  How can we not get a third rider?  This is crazy.  Don't tell me its for lack of $s, they can find the dollars.  Small countries with far less resources make it happen every year, its a joke this is even a question for the defending champs IMO.

I am also surprised that teams/manufacturers don't believe there is return on investment, especially with the Monster tie in at Kawi and Star (if it is true they are out this year and not just covering for Deegan).  I have to believe there are more people watching this race worldwide than any other single race of the year.  If Kawi supported the event there would be a bunch of additional riders that could do a really good job as the third guy, Anderson, Hammaker, Forkner, etc.  But why does Kawi support the European riders and will not support AMA riders?

I really don't think it's just about money, there are politics and a growing apathy also involved.

As for Kawi their European distributor supports the event, their US counterpart does not. I'm surprised the mothership in Japan doesn't require it and also fund it.

I personally think they need to hold it every 2 years, similar to the Ryder Cup in golf.

still really weird to me that J Cooper was mad about them changing the date, his team wouldn't have let him go anyways

Every day this shit show goes on.........looking better for Canada by the minute :-)

Here's an update for Canada. Our Nationals don't get anywhere near the amount of spectators the US Nationals get and we raised over 36k with merchandise.

If the US sold merchandise at the SX races and the Nationals, they would easily dwarf that number.

If anyone wants to support Team Canada feel free to do so:

If we end up not sending a team, I will 100% support our neighbors to the north. Catch me with a hockey stick in one hand and a bowl of poutine in the other. 🇨🇦🍁

If  the USA don't attend ,I will get that same sort of feeling as when JH84  gets injured and don't compete in mxgp,it's just not the same , but the show goes on

I would give my right bollock to participate for my country and the occasion, even I had no chance of making it on the box

That's great!

I've seen Team Poland will race with #133, #134, #135. That means at least 45 teams enlisted themselves (although teams like FIM Europe, Morocco, Honduras, Argentina, Ecuador etc. will probably get skipped). The former record was 40 teams, at Teutschenthal, Germany in 2013.

Wow, Latin America can afford to send a team, but the USA can't!

Ffs this is not hard.  What about 50 cents from everyone that attends a national, could be taken off the ticket money.  Who could argue with that. Job done
