Unfortunately for you doing so seems to lack common sense. Oh the irony.

Lol, yeah he’s never lied to us. Remember when some vitards called him out on his MAVTV BS and then he got all offended? Yeah I believe all his 🥜 huggers blame us for why he doesn’t post here, but that’s the main reason, some us know we have to take what’s being shoveled to us with a grain of salt

No matter who goes, this event costs a lot of money to attend.

I was told that to fly bikes (6 to 8 motorcycles) and riders and mechanics and tools and support people, and house and feed them can be approaching 180 to 200K for one fly away event.  You also have to travel one week ahead of time to get over the jet lag and test with local race fuel too.

Plus more than likely this will be a muddy race, so extra parts and wheels and tires need to be considered.

If the USA had a strong team it may be worth it, but the fact is so many of the best guys are switching teams and doing other stuff that sending a team of less capable guys may not be worth the money to the guys who cut the checks to pay for it.

Wow,just wow!Take your US glasses off and explain to me,what ambitions do have some of the smaller countries to participating in the US for the mxdn? Why bringing up the mud races? You have a lot of top mud racer in your series, where‘s the problem?Do we have to create a „gofundme“ account to buy some tyres? We are talking about the olympics of motocross and what we hear from the US fans, excuses, excuses…………

We are talking about the growing of our sport, well, stfu!!!

How the hell is Canada managing to do it with 50k USD then?? Someone is getting scammed.

The AMA has production rule, my buddy CRF450R has the same frame as Chase Sexton 450R, why ship Chase Sexton full bike? Ship the Engine and suspension and then rent a 450R frame in Europe to lower the airfare, Tyres? Dunlop sells in Europe, buy a bunch of MX32 and they will make you a good offer, Plastics? Cycra sells in Europe, buy them here, the price is the same (Barring currency), Graphics, handlebars? The same. By shipping less things=less cargo=less airfare.

Or ask Giacomo Gariboldi (HRC MXGP team owner/manager) if he has any of Tim Gajser's or Ruben Fernandez's CRF450Rs gathering dust in storage waiting to be ridden again, he's also Honda NILS WSX team owner, he has Kevin Moranz and Jordi Tixer WSX bikes ready to be ridden, but it seems those bikes won't have much hours by the end of the year.

If Deegan wants to go, ask Yamaha MX2 Factory team the same, Plessinger? If Roger wants to reduce cost, he should ask Tony Cairoli if Aaron can ride Herlings SX450F because Herlings will not race MXoN.

There has to be a way to reduce cost. There's no way it cost 200k to send a team overseas, if that were the case, the Spanish federation wouldn't have been able to send a team Last year to RedBud

The USA team doesn't travel on a shoestring budget.  Sure other countries teams travel cheaper, good for them.

For Team USA You have support staff, mechanics and managers to consider. Riders are not flying coach - the cost of a business class round trip ticket is 8 to 9 grand for one rider. for three riders that is 25 grand right there.

They also don't rent or borrow bikes, and they bring spare everything.  The mechanics and support people who do this  don't work for free.

But whatever the cost it isn't cheap to move a team and their gear halfway across the world, and feed and house them for for 8 to 14 days.

I only stated what I was told by someone who has done it for a round of fly away races, I'm not the accountant for AMA pro racing.

What exactly did he say that caused you to insinuate I am calling him a liar? If anything it's you who is the liar stating Star told it's riders they would not allow them to go. If you are saying DC said that then it's a lie also. What am I missing here?

Screw star and screw Kawi. Honestly. Not wanting to send a team unless they think they can win. ASSHOLES if they sent two riders or even ONE rider, they would be a winning team. What a slap in the face to AP by star. I thought star loved AP, but apparently since he’s on the team, our team isn’t good enough. I’m disgusted we are defending champs and nobody wants to go. What happened to “if we win at redbud it will restore pride and the USA will love the event again”???

It's not like the MXdN is a new event this year.  It has been going on for decades, obviously.  What I can't understand is that nobody touts this event louder than MX Sports (DC) but no one (Feld, MX Sports, AMA, et al) puts together a plan to fund it, make it a priority and make sure we attend.  It's not like we don't know where it is going to be held at least a year in advance, maybe longer.  I just don't think anyone cares enough to make it happen.  The teams can make all the excuses they want.... can't afford it, didn't budget for it, too risky for riders, blah, blah, blah.  If anyone cared they would write into the riders contracts that if called upon, you will go.  The teams budget for everything else, why not this?  Because they really don't care.  It is ridiculous that we go through the same thing most every year.....  it is truly comical.

So it’s a choice to spend??  Again why all that support staff?? Surely they are used to travel with AMA MX rounds all over the country?

How dare the AMA put their stars on the plane next to working class people who can only afford economy class? Please, millionaires next to people who live pay-check to pay-check? A little compassion for our patriots please!

In addition, the hotel where they are going to stay has to match the plane, 5 star all inclusive resort, suite for the pilot, his girlfriend and his dog. Also a good car to get around Europe, at least an Audi A7 or a Mercedes A-Class, please, how are they going to drive a Volkswagen, a Toyota or even worse, a Seat?

2 weeks on the road training to give 100% for the great motherland, with no days off (although a trip to Paris with the girls, who have to make content for Instagram, as life is very expensive in California and in Florida the cost is also going up).

A true patriotic millionaire would stand up for his country, no matter the price to hear the American anthem at the top of the podium in his honour, but it seems that his country is the bank account

You don't need to send 40+ members.

We ship our own bikes, parts, etc.

We're not exactly roughing it either. Google the place our riders will be staying at. Private chef for all the meals. Practice track rented so they can get some riding in.

Mechanics are going. Managers are going.

You don't need the goggle guy, the gear guy, the manfriends, the moto bros that hang around, etc.

Different time, but I believe we went to Latvia for 50k.

Our guys don't bitch about it and they were happy to represent our country. Guess what, they're happy to resent Canada again this year.

Our team manager is doing an excellent job, and I'm glad she's back again after stepping away.

Team Canada has been fundraising all year. The US could easily do the same. Sell t-shirts, sweaters, hats, stickers, water bottles, coffee mugs, etc. You guys would sell a shit load of them.

We might not be flying first class, but we do the best we can with the budget we have, and most importantly, we show up.

We have to figure out how to make teams and riders want to go again. They know they will get the hate for even the suspicion of being the reason behind the “no”, but they choose to not go anyways for reasons that make sense to them not fans.

I do believe they that if any top rider like Deegan or Jason Anderson really wanted to go they could find a way. Perhaps stipulate it in their contracts that if chosen for MXdN they have guaranteed support.

No team announcement. Currently Plessinger and Hampshire are locked in. You guys need a third rider.

Latest word is the US might not send a team.

If it is so inexpensive to go, Im sure the AMA will be happy when they receive your check for the cost of the trip.

One thing for sure, they need to change the way the USA team is selected and organized and sent. I think everyone can agree on that.

Weeks ago multiple sources said Deegan didn’t want to go if Sexton was out, I.e. wouldn’t go unless they had their best shot at winning. Nobody denied or defended that.

Now, much further down the track, Star says they’re out as a team.
And the reason poor Deegs can’t go is because Star won’t support it?!

Umm okay, if that’s what it takes to make you feel better about that 😂

The fact that there is no clarity around this issue beyond rumours and so on is an indictment of so-called moto 'journalism'.  In real journalism the relevant organizations and individuals would be getting hammered daily until they provided - at bare minimum - a media statement.

It’s funny how the narrative changes to suit the agenda. Sadly some sections of moto media do this quite often. Must think we all have the memory of a goldfish.

If a team isn’t sent from the US, I hope there’s a journalist in this sport who will interview a key figure from each manufacturer/team, Decoster, and any other US stakeholders to get the full story. Ask someone from Kawasaki WHY they don’t want to support the event, etc.. Quit beating around the bush, quit all the speculating, and get the story from those involved.

The whole deal sucks. We should be sending a team, even if they have no chance in winning. But I can understand why most of the riders who won’t go would choose not to, at this point. Kinda disappointed in Deegan, though. Tough situation.

Would those team personnel tell the truth though?

While you would hope they would tell the truth, the main point to emphasize is the 'journalists' should be asking for clarity from all involved in the form of media statements. This whole debacle just shows how toothless moto 'journalists' are in the face of the industry. Most of them literally work for the organisations - MX Sports/Feld etc in the case of Weege and JT - that they are supposed to be reporting on. Weege even used to do PR for Honda whilst supposedly being a 'journalist'!  This has got worse lately with SMX.  JT and Weege are now paid shills for the whole deal.  There's also an uncomfortable amount of broing down between the 'journalists' and the riders/teams/industries.  Journalists are not supposed to be mates with those they're reporting on, they're supposed to be objective.  Bush league is a massive understatement.
