ML or someone else? Is this a Joker Lane or just option lane that can be taken every lap? I haven't seen it talked about in any articles or posts, and it's the only round to have one.

It's a split lane.

It's also been discussed in a couple threads on here, shame on you sir for not reading every post of every thread.  Get your f'n priorities straight.  *sarcasm*

Another thing I notice is, whoops sections. We have been lied to all year by the announcers saying there will be no whoop sections, well that's clearly wrong, there's two whoop sections on charlotte and three on Chicagoland. these will make for some interesting racing, it will really prove what riders have good fitness with long rhythm lanes and longer laptimes. And the only motocross thing on these tracks is how long they are and how it increases the laptimes. Just my two cents on these tracks, I wasn't following the sport during monster cup but I've heard there are similarities between the style of tracks and things like that.

Hard to see the split lane working. My guess is everyone is going to take the route going under the over/under. One less turn and carry more speed out of it.

Pretty good chance you're right.

BUT it looks like you could maybe carry more speed in and then block them coming out of it if you took the Over option.

The face of that single going into the right section is going to get horribly rutted I would guess so as the track develops the left lane may end up being used more

Just imagined that in my head and it just seems so prone to a t-bone like cars speeding through t intersections haha

I was actually thinking the over lane to be faster, as you are carrying more speed after the triple when you hit that jump from the outside you are practically landing at the end of that turn and at the base of the jump. A quick blip and you are over it and Infront of the guy that has to turn, turn, turn. But we will see soon enough, or not soon enough (yes I'm looking forward to this).

Lied to is a strong term why don't you wait until actually see the track before you call them whoops...they could be softer dirt rollers for all we know...

I dunno.  If you take the right (under) side you’ll virtually have to roll that single on the entry vs a faster flat landing on the left before the table.

The right hand sweeper will be fast but then it will depend on how that double on the exit looks.  If it’s a typical double they’ll have to brake before hitting it negating the speed of the sweeper.

It will only take a couple of practice laps before one will prove faster.

That shows me you don't know what whoops look like. They look like whoops and everyone has said there will not be whoops.

Why are there 4 lanes to a drag strip? Or is it 2 lanes with a center line? Excuse my ignorance for the 1/4 mile.

It’s the only track that actually runs 4 cars at once

Why does it bother you so much? Are you racing and aren't good in them or something?

We’ll find out soon enough but my thought was they would hit the very right side of the single, and jump it to the left side of the track making a straighter shot underneath the bridge.  And those over indeed tend to be such floaty jumps a lot of time will be lost there.

What are the odds of massive pileups in the first turn when the two sides come together at full tilt?

slim. Split starts are nothing new and rarely result in mayhem. The most common issue I recall with split starts is when one side doesnt drop.
