Most that have been doing this for long enough have a little buddy on their shoulder😂
for those, who dont know what you're talking about.
What in the actual fuck
Exactly!! Haha. It’s not a little baby bump. It’s “You can’t not stare at it bump”.
hahaha. Gotta love AC. He’s sure made some great strides this year. Good for him! 👍👍
I’ve got that on both shoulders…other than looking like a coat hanger I don’t even notice…
I thought mine was bad... holy shit
The bump is normal from a 3rd degree AC separation. AC's must've had a bad separation.
After my AC separation, I went to the same surgeon the Padres use. I told him I'm an athlete and I want the same treatment as professional athletes would receive. He said that normal procedure, even for pro athletes, is to just let it heal, and accept the bump.
If the two sides of the joint rub, and it bothers the patient, they do surgery to cut a quarter inch off the end of the Scapula to create space. For cosmetic reasons they can also repurpose a tendon to pull the scapula down.
I asked him what would happen if I would've just held the bump down for the first couple of days. He said the scar tissue would've kept it down, and I wouldn't have a bump.
It pissed me off that no one told me that when it happened. Why not?
It had been about 3 days, and scar tissue had already formed. I pushed it down anyway with a pad of tape directly over the bump, and held it in place with a couple straps and the kind of kidney belt thing they wear at Home Depot when workers have to lift a lot all day. It hurt like hell for the first half hour, then it wasn't so bad. I left it in place for 2 or 3 days. I ended up with hardly any bump at all. I'm not suggesting anyone else do it, but it did work for me.
Dont' stare at it Bubbles, don't stare.
Haha one of my mates has it as well..
As no one has actually explained what the go is and if anyone is wondering it's when the collar bone 'pops' out of the joint to the shoulder.. I've heard that wrestlers actually prefer to leave it as it gives them more range of motion? But that could be a old wives tale
So nasty. I've got a little bit of difference in my left from when I did something throwing weights around as a kid, but that is gnarly as. Shoulders are shithouse though.
In my mind and heart AC and Plessinger are currently battling for the peoples champion award.
That is a brutal injury, I have had a bunch of them. Fast forward 40 years and Im getting cortisone injections in the AC joint for arthritis. Will need surgery to get it fixed.
I’m in that club left shoulder some days are better than others….
Pit Row
You're telling me! I haven't done the separation but I've dislocated my left one 3 times (and then stabilised) and broken my right collarbone, so I've got that lump haha, and right shoulder blade! Which is real handy these days not like I rely on them much now haha.. Shiiit
I've got one of those. Freaks my wife out.
You would think it causes pain, but I never notice it.
I have a notch more than an upward bump from my old AC separation. I'm actually more bothered by the ledge from the titanium plate on my clavicle....would love to get that removed at some point.
I have a 3rd degree ac sep. It sucks. ROM improvement?, maybe not. I did PT to get it back in shape and it mostly did. I asked about swimming and my PT said NO, no swimming. I tried swimming a year and a half after thinking it must be fine now. Nope, that over head motion made it ache like about 3 weeks after I wrecked it and it hurt for a week. Maybe I need more swimming but that was my experience.
My bump sticks straight up, PT made it go down some. ACs looks like it is displaced more the the rear. Grade 4 maybe. The first time I rode after I did my shoulder, it was very loose. I had kind of a rowing motion on my right side like a swap feeling. The collar bone ties into the scapula and kind of keeps it stable. My limited medical knowledge of anatomy and physiology (4 months paramedic classroom) leads me to leads me to think that AC wrecked his knee because of his shoulder. But that's just me.
Post a reply to: AC’s newest Vlog 😳
