"The apparatus moved into an unpredictable orbit and ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the moon,"
Trying to beat India has its consequences.
🤣😂🤣
Is there actual footage of the crash?
You know...claiming a crash while secretly installing a laser weapon on the moon is just like them Rooskies.
Definitely what they should be spending money on right now 😂
While the US spends all its money bankrolling Ukraine Instead of on the invasion they are under😂🤦♂️

But we definitely sent some men up there 60 years ago and haven't sent anybody back with a decent camera since
“We should stop giving money to other countries and help our people here!”
”Alright cool let’s make sure people don’t go broke from a cancer diagnosis and make sure every child is fed in school.”
”No that’s socialist communist bullshit who is gonna pay for that!?”
Well, shit.
Well maybe if they took their time instead of russian to get there, they would have succeeded.
Your current socialist communist government should be all over that.
They throw money at homeless drug addicts, illegal immigrants, etc.
Would your ideal version of universal healthcare pay for vaginas for men with mental conditions like ours does?
The fact that anyone could even think the US government is remotely close to being socialist or communist is hilarious.
The fact they can't is what's hilarious.
It varies state to state, in California if you make less than around $12 per hour you get free health insurance. So then it's pretty hard to convince anyone to strive for anything better than that entry level job. Marijuana is basically 100% legal too, you might as well start smoking every day to cope with your miserable insignificant life at that point too. Why try to get a raise or promotion when you're going to have to give up your free health insurance, and then have a huge bill every month, plus having to pay to go to the doctor? They don't have anything like that out in the Midwest.
Some valid points. I see it. But...
There was a time when an a fella of average or below intelligence or skill could find and keep a job that paid enough to survive. He didn't have Nike shoes, eat ribeyes, or take vacations but he could survive.
Not sure that group (which is large) can still do that.
why not be motivated to make more money so you can buy more weed?
Yeah, people act like their Starbucks and other things that they buy wouldn't make a huge difference, but a $6 coffee 5 days a week adds up pretty quick. We have a whole mess of stuff going on, we are rehabbing a house, so money is pretty tight. We basically quit going out to eat last month. That should help a lot. When I was living high on the hog in a COVID contract I remember thinking we were spending like $1,000 a month going out to eat. I regret that, but all those margaritas were very delicious.
I remember somebody saying that the prices of California were a glimpse into the future. And I feel like we have gotten a whole lot closer to that over the last 3 or 4 years.
All together there have been 146 missions (including several failed attempts) to the Moon.

There has been 3 moon mission this year alone..
12 American astronauts have walked on the moon. Another 12 have been within the moons orbit.
Flybys, Impact probes, manned missions, landers, rovers, and orbiters have taken tons of images and video footage of the flags, seismometers, mirrors, and even vehicles left behind on previous missions.
I just want somebody to land on the moon with a decent camera. You would think it would have happened again by now
People wanna bitch about wasting tax payer dollars...where's the outrage for a space program.
I actually think some folks don't mind waste....as long as poor folks don't benefit from it. So far...Tang and Velcro ain't cuttin' it for me.

I'd settle for "real" cell service here on this rock.
There are literally thousands of high resolution photos taken on the moon available for scrutiny.

500mm lens shooting back towards the Lunar Module.
Past the LM (almost directly left and slightly above and to the right) are the boulder-filled rims of two craters. Those craters are approximately 6 km from Jack Schmitt taking the photo. This photo was taken on EVA 3 at Station 6. The LM is 3.1 km away from station 6. The South Massif (the mountain in the background) is 10 miles away.

Here is a close up of the rover
Here is the lander
Pretty cool that the US launched a Moon eye in the sky that was supposed to be used a couple of years and its still working 15 years later. Alot of success with unmanned craft working longer than expected in space.

Spending money in the pursuit of knowledge is hardly wasting it IMO.
Spending $72 billion on prisons a year, now thats wasting a LOT of money.
I'm not sure the knowledge we need to gain is on the moon but I agree.
The prison system is off the hook for sure.
India steps up to the plate ….

"The spacecraft with an orbiter, lander and a rover lifted off on 14 July from the Sriharikota space centre in south India."
From BBC link
Takes off 14 July
Lands on 23 August.
Must have a slowass rocket.
Traffic... apparently everyone is going to the moon this season
