It looked insane ! Biggest crowd I've seen there.  I bet that the camping being allowed for spectators helped bigtime!  I always enjoyed going out there on a Thursday afterwork. A few buddies racing the Am day while I parked and setup in the Pro pits to support my friend or friends that were racing the National. Spending the weekend when it was a  sat and sunday thing for the Pro class was so cool. The  Am pits got wild after dark. The Pro pits were like a ghost town .

If I was going just to watch the race, it would be cool to be able to bring my RV and make a weekend out of it. I know that having an RV would also make it easier to get  a wife , GF and kids  to go. Having a place to cool off, clean up and a clean private bathroom.  And get more of the feel of the event.  Watch the Am racing .  I bet they could boost the attendance at other rounds by allowing spectator camping again.

Sounds like a lot of the nationals are seeing big crowds. I love it.

The attendance would be much higher if the ticket prices would be lower. Up state Ny. Has  a lot of poor people. But they Love there racing. I walked 3/4 mi from the ts across the Tomahawk river to watch stock car racing at the Fonda fairgrounds this past summer. The grand stands where 2 & a 1/2 times larger then a usual fair grounds. Mostly packed & the big money race was the next night.  10 bucks to get in.

I was there, was packed big time! In 2021 when I was there they said they had record numbers, it seemed there were way more this year!

Any data on this, or just anecdotes?

Why do you guys think that is? Is it Deegan/Lawrences?

45th year I have been attending ( yes getting old).  This weekend was one of the bigger, crowds I can remember.  Definitely in the 2000's.   The 250GP days had crowds ( just a bit wilder) like this for 3 days with no am racing.

Could be Deegans, could be Lawrence's. Or could just be the rawness of the sport and it's little bubble people are attracted to. The "wokeness" and or political bs of the mainstream sports has pushed a lot of people away

Tell those poor people to save $2 a week and they could afford a ticket, parking and lunch.
