Side ways like the pictures on page 1. I strap down via frame, that way forks barely even compress.

At an angle front tire towards drivers side.

But the most important part is putting my hand on the seat, giving it a shake, and saying that isn't going anywhere. Without this step I don't know if it would stay in the truck....

I know this is a old thread but question for you 5.5 bed guys. Does anyone have pics of your bike , 55 gallon water drum, pressure washer and all of your other moto gear loaded up preferably without one of those bed extensions.  Looking to downsize from my 3/4 ton F250 gasser with the 6 3/4 foot bed and going back to a quad cab 1/2 ton. Unfortunately most quad cabs on the lot come with the 5.5 and not 6.5 and some auto makers like Nissan don't even offer a 6.5 bed on a quad cab 1/2ton. Thanks

If you put a eyelet in the center front of the bed, and another one on the bed walls just in front of the wheel wells, you can tie the bike down with the wheels turned into the corners and get two bikes in a six foot bed with and still close the tailgate.

That’s how it’s done

The UK's cheapest, rattiest Ranger, loved 7ft bed. Things laid up waiting for paint and a 260hp VW engine now 😂

The short ratchet strap around the frame by the footpeg onto a side rail tie down point made the bike mega stable and worth the 30 seconds for the extra security to me.

OEM bed extender gets a lot of use at my house.

This is what I used to do with my short box truck years ago. Put on driver's side, then swing the back end over to put the gate up.

How much crap do you get for having that truck? I was going to get one but got a Colorado midnight edition instead. Shortly after, my dad got the midnight edition like yours. I took it for a test drive and instantly regretted getting the Colorado. Those things are works of art I don’t care what anyone says. The interior is in a class of its own.

Zero...to my face. Haha but for real most people who comment are into it. It handles the best, by far, of any truck on the market. Best mpg on the market as well. The interior is nice, the huge trunk in the bed is awesome. I like the size as well, right between a ram and a Tacoma. It does really well in the snow and I don’t off-road or tow. If you don’t off road or tow and you don’t want a full size truck it’s clearly the best option. I also had the grilled painted black. With that change I actually prefer it looks wise to the other small trucks.

It’s also the most made in America truck, in that it has the most components made and assembled here.

Truck owners crack me up. All follow the next guy lol. Obviously a Ridleline can't tow a mega toy hauler - but these trucks are one of the best vehicles on the road. The ride is more lux than most 100k sedans.....great vehicles.
