MOSS OUT....!

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 6:41pm
So with Moss breaking his back, does Tommy Hanhn get pulled up to the Factory Team to fill his spot since the Canadie tem is Rockstar funded as well?? Or does Byrne get the spot? Interesting turn of events.

from racerxonline.com

Moss, unfortunately, went down near the end of the second race and reportedly fractured his back in the area of T-7 and T-8. It’s the second time Matt has broken his back, and his brother Jake broke his back last year as well. Fortunately for Matt, though, he has no feeling or movement deficits at this time, so early reports are that he’ll make a full recovery.

This ain't baseball. These are not farm teams. Satellite teams have their own sponsors and budgets, and what ever level of support they can get from the factory. I am sure Canidae gave a great amount of support to the team knowing they were securing Tommy for the 2010 race season.

can't imagine burner getting the ride anyways..barely finished top 10 down under for the series which is poor for his abilities....must still be injured from des nations...I would hope , otherwise he has some problems.

Quote from Greg Moss tonight (Jake & Matt's old man)

Pretty sure niether Matt or Jake will be on the gate for A1 but who knows? Matt knows his bike is waiting but he knows to prep himself first.''

I fractured t7 and t8 and had to wear a hyper extension back brace for 6 and half months, maybe its a minor fracture but still a1 i doubt it.

I had two compression fractures and the doc told me 6 weeks, but it took 12 weeks before I was feeling normal again.

I think it depends on the severity. As I compress fractured my t6 and t7 (I believe) long time ago, and my back was very swollen and bruised. I was in allot of pain, but did ice packs and heat to get the swelling down (I went a got xrays a couple of weeks later). limped around for a month, went back riding only to have a call from my doctor saying I have had a compression fracture.

I decided to keep riding as it wasn't really bothering me anymore. But in saying that I wasn't jumping into AMA SX!!

Everyone keeps speculating about him being able to ride by A1. It could be possible that he was just saying that Moss would be there as a spectator.

Ferry would be good fit. he started with suzuki in 92 and that would be a great way to end a awesome career with suzuki !
Ferry started on Kawasaki as a rookie in 1992, moved to Yamaha for 93, Honda for 94 all with backing from Mike Rossini of RRP. He had the factory Suzuki ride from 95-97.

Noleen Yamaha for 98-99, Chapparal Yamaha picked him up during the 99 Nationals and the full 2000 season. Factory Yamaha 2001-2005, Moto XXX in 2006, and Factory Kawasaki from 2007-2009.

Just trying to see if I remebered it all correctly.Wassat

He should still be out there, I don't want to see him retire just yet.

Chisholm and ferry are the only 2 decent guys that could fill a spot on a good team and be in the main every week. I heard ferry wasn't really riding or training much and is just waiting for outdoors. Roger should see past the SLC BS and realize Chisholm was probably just under alot of pressure and unsure what to do and made an honest mistake and ba bad choice cuz he has always seemed like a good hard working kid. Give him a shot atleast until moss is ready.

i agree give the kid a chance. let him show what he can really do. didn't he battle a knee injury all last season?
