1-1 at the beautiful Washougal.  He's got a lot of critics, but at the end of the day, he's blazing fast and on the right path to a successful career in racing.  Congratulations on your win, Haiden.

Count me as a critic, but you can’t argue with 1-1, it was well done after two ordinary rounds.

Anyone else wonder if his comments on putting an American on the top is him hinting at them to put him on the MXoN team? He did the same at RedBud. Seems like the 250 spot is between him and RJ but if I had to put any money on it at this point I have a little more faith in Deegan especially after today.

Holy crap the kid was on fire that 2nd moto....he shocked the hell out of Cooper.

Nice to see him bounce back after some questionable rides.    That was a statement win.

Holy shit I just watched the replay, that second moto was pure classic American style of riding, it honestly reminded me of RC the way he had that bike dancing under him(yes I know he's not RC), I didn't know he had an extra gear like that, that was crazy.

Good to see him bounce back after 2 shockers of rounds, that is pretty hard to do.

He was absolutely unfucking real this weekend

6 seconds 28 minutes in a lap was absurd

I thought the kid would be good but mainly considered a how people see Mike Alessi. But no he’s something else.

Haiden has blown away my expectations.  At first I was a critic but now I'm a fan.  This kid has something special.  Congratulations Haiden for going 1-1.

This weekend, I’d agree he’s probably gunning for MXdN, but RedBud was July 4th weekend, so I think he just got caught up in the moment on that one.

I do see alittle bit of RC, JS, and RV in him. Will be interesting to see his style go up against Jett’s style when he moves up. Reminds me of when RC moved up and took on Kdub.

Haiden, in his dogged determination & unwillingness to accept losing…reminds me a lot of RC.

I've always been a fan, only because he and his dad were very cool to my kid at Lorretta's when Haiden was still on 65's.  But even if very that weren't the case, that 2nd moto was next level for sure and fun to watch. He's doing a good job of silencing the haters by winning.

Kid deserves the MXDN 250 ride. It's evident he's a patriot and will send it for USA 🇺🇲

This is the part I don't get. When he does good it's because of this. When he does bad this does not matter and it's because he is just 17 and a rookie.

Good thing Daddy Deeg's kicked him in the ass this week.

Was great to see!

Anyone seen any full footage of his last 3 laps in moto 2?

I seen a few of the highlight reels and it doesn't show much of his ride regarding those laps.

His progression from the step up SX race for Star before they and he decided to race pro is fascinating. Truly liked him then but thought it would take some time for him. Then next thing you know, he's 2nd in points in SX. I was like, where the hell did that come from?

And now, what we're seeing in his rookie season? He has more determination than most. I feel his parents have seen this all along & Star saw it as well. Now, we're all just witnessing who is probably going to win several championships in this sport. Obviously that's his goal, and its coming soon. There are a ton of riders in this sport who find the speed for top 10's. There are a few others that for years race and can reach top 5's. Then there is that racer that comes along and very quickly progresses to being a winner. The top guy. I think we're seeing that happening with Haiden. Going to be fun to watch!!

If people still say they want Webb on the MxDN team after this weekend. They need to be committed. The kid just showed all the men he is racing how to end a race.

Barring injury, which is the only way  I could see him not being the highest finishing American in the Championship (and very possibly The Champion) I don't know how the US Team could consider anyone other than Haiden Deegan for the 250 spot at the MXDN.

I very much doubt he would not want to do it, and any expense , well, it would be as nothing for the Deegans - well, any American rider selected to ride for their country. None of them would ever be struggling Privateers.

As an aside, could anyone shed some light on the "They Don't Know Me Son" note shown on Haiden's bar pad in the Pit Bits? I assume it was from Brian. A bit of a strange, perhaps cryptic bit of motivation.

I was thinking the same thing. More old school style and it’s fun to watch compared to say Jett where he stands up more, and relies on feet position and balance. Both styles are fun just different.

That pass on J Coop is unreal, balls out all the way around the outside. To mount that charge and pass, and then absolutely blow away Cooper for the remaining laps was incredible to watch.

Right before he went berserk. I was thinking what a solid mature day. Because Coop has it on lock . Ummm🔥  that was impressive💪

I'm not a fan of the social media schtick or his nickname, but as a pure racer/rider in the sport he's completely earned my respect.  I didn't think he would be this good and he sure has proven me wrong. I thought at best he would be a very good, but not elite SX rider.  Kid can haul ass, and has done it in the man's sport of MX.  Much respect.  Amazing ride yesterday.  Need more of that.
