Thought he possibly crashed during Q2. Then checked the lap times segments and looks like he finished without issue. Anyone know why he didn't line up for the races?

Maybe he wasn't feeling it and didn't want to get smoked by Da' Rippa'.

I feel for the kid and it obviously sucks for him that he didn't make the races.

I'm more concerned about a riders well-being, than my fantasy mx team. But it is extremely disappointing that with the amount of media guys swinging off the riders nuts, getting coffee and food from the team trucks, the riders themselves having social media that a day after the race can't even find out what the problem was.

That kid has essentially had absolute shit luck since he stepped off Mini's.....  Big bikes have no been good to him all.  The only real positive it seems he has had, is that his sponsors have stuck by him up to this point.  But one has to wonder just how much longer that will last, I really hate to seem him constantly banged up.....

Hopefully they give him one more shot next year. If next year is a bust, then that’s probably it like some of the TLD kids.

I know his mechanic and asked him before the races if he was gonna race and he said he was physically sick and throwing up.

Someone said Reynolds is out at PC for next year.

He looked really good yesterday morning. No idea why he didn't line up other than humidity and sand wearing on him as the morning went on and being on the mend. I don't think I'd give up on him yet. I think he's a good kid and certainly still has a ton of upside.

Honestly I'm not surprised a bit if this is indeed true.  He doesn't have a leg to stand on as far as results are concerned.  If true, hopefully a smaller team gave him one last shot to prove himself, because I seriously doubt any top tier team are willing.  Unless, he got a life line from Mitch for one year with bikes, support, zero salary to redeem himself.  He always impressed as a kid watching him shred, it just hasn't carried over on big bikes at all......

He's been linked to the TLD GasGas team.

You're correct.

So is Reynolds out at PC? If he is, hopefully, he can find something. It would suck for him to already be on his way out when it's only beginning. That said, he, unfortunately, wouldn't be the first for that to happen.

I hope he gets a shot. He really only got healthy a few months ago after not racing for 2 years and has had some decent results in his first few races

Not sure if he is or isn't signed for next year. My thought is he could possibly be a good swap at HEP for Schwartz if he is out of a ride for 24'. That way he can stay based out of California and have close access to the team HQ/test track. ClubMx could be a good fit as well similar set up to what they have been doing with Preston Kilroy.

Just drawing straws here, but maybe getting outta Cali may be what he could use.  Club could be a good fit, whole new everything, start fresh.....  If I were he, I'd be willing to try just about anything at this point.

Agreed. We need a full on review. Not just heres a few notes and talked to my buddies. Think professional espn etc.

At some point, one has to look in the mirror and realize it's not just bad luck.  It has to be within the program he's on.  Yes, once a crash here or there is just bad luck but when that is years stacked on years of bad luck, it's not just luck.  I think he's super talented and just needs to be on the right program, build a good solid base and work his way up in speed and consistency.  If a rider tries to progress too fast and rides way over their ability once they are competing at a level where everyone is REALLY fast, they end up being crash prone thus getting hurt.  Get on a good program, build a base, and steadily improve over time.  He needs to build a base.

So will Mumford get to race at Millville? Seems like a raw deal being a top 10 rider not racing. Saw where Forkner will be back for Shougal. Maybe Jett and Mumford will both sit out the races.

I hope he gets at least one more year with PC. This is essentially his rookie year and he’s only riding the nationals. I’d love to see him with a little more seat time.

I'm really hoping he isn't another supermini all-star that fades out but I'll be honest that interview I saw with him on Vital was a bit concerning. He talks about his injuries and how difficult it is to adjust to being a pro where everyone is super fast and he was used to always being the best rider before. His confidence is shaky at best I mean the dude even talked about thinking of retiring before his career even really has started.

I'm really hoping things can turn around for him but this sport is so incredibly mental that if you have those demons in the back of your head you really should just walk away while you still can. Guys on top of their game can make a simple mistake that ends their career so if your head isn't right you're just asking for trouble. Still no idea what happened to him Saturday but if he can manage to come out to Spring Creek and crack the top 10 that would be a massive boost to his confidence.  Hell at this point just keep the bike on 2 wheels and finish some races, end the season healthy and come back next year guns blazing.

Edit: Was just scrolling through twitter and saw a post from Vurbmoto that it appears to have been food poisoning so hopefully he recovers well enough to get some riding in and race at Millville.

At Redbud he got 11th the first moto and came together with Hunter off the start and was down for a long time and made his way back to 20th. I think he’s got potential to be really good.

Kawasaki team green has spent a fortune on the last few big time amateurs only to have them not pan out in big bikes , also Mitch doesn’t seem to be on the same page with them lately

star seems to have a great programme  to pick kids later in their amateur career

Aren't these his first races ever as a pro this year?  And he has never raced a sx yet.  Ryder D is doing pretty good this year after finally getting some consistent seat time.  I bet we see the same with Reynolds.
