1) What's wrong with the "Star Environment?"

2) What is "flexing" with riders running fatbars?

Mitch has always ran twin walls. Says he doesn’t like the look of bikes with no crossbars. He’s now allowed jo and apparently hammaker as well to run fatbars.

I highly doubt the money Levi got would be drastically different at PC from a base salary perspective. From everything that has been said, Mitch has historically paid more of a bonus heavy structure and that's why he has missed out on some top riders in the past.

I think the choice about going to PC for Levi is more than about money upfront. I think he prefers to be on the west coast, doesn't really love the star environment, and knows Deegan is priority number one for the next few years for the Yamaha brand on 250s and probably 450s sooner than later. He's younger, has more reach, and probably more total potential. I don't blame Star or Yamaha but if I am Levi (I'm not), I'd love to be top dog at PC and have a clear shot to a Monster Kawi 450 seat in 2-3 years.

Last, the PC bike did see a few down years on performance but it looks like the bike is much improved over the past couple of years and most of the riders on the team say that. Mitch is even showing more flex these days in his program, letting Jo and Hammaker run fat bars.

1) What's wrong with the "Star Environment?"

2) What is "flexing" with riders running fatbars?

1. I didn't say anything is wrong with the star environment. It's well known that it's a hyper-competitive, winning over everything culture. Some people do well there, others don't enjoy it. Also, no matter what, with Deegan around, he is going to be the B side there. So why not be the A side at PC. Similar to Sexton leaving Honda and the Jett situation behind.

2. Mitch never let riders run crossbar-less handlebars. He has always said that he hates the look of them and his riders, until this year, have always had to use the standard rental bars. Now he is letting them use the fat bars which tend to reduce rigidity and provide more comfort from flexing.

It's an interesting strategy that Star takes with its 250 roster. They go big knowing that the class always has a ton of volatility and that at any given time they will have 2-3 riders out with injury. They almost always still have a strong presence no matter who is hurt. Stiles, Thrasher, Farres, and Cooper were out this weekend and they still put their sponsors and Yamaha on the podium and in front of the fans on tv.

Anyone can hit a target with a lot of bullets. Ok Star Wars stormtroopers might be proving this theory wrong

Maybe you guys see something with the star bikes I don’t.  They look good , as do the pc bikes. Who does star’s engines?

also , the 24 Yamaha is supposed to be all new.  Who knows what that’ll look like from a race team perspective.

I don’t see a weak link in the 250 class bike wise from rockstar to ktm to pc to Honda,   I just don’t.

Then you dont know what you’re looking at. Star bike hands down has the best engine. Suspension not the best. Overall bike i would say the Honda 250. They really increased their engine performance when ryan cox went there and they introduced the electric water pump in 2020. Ryan has now gone to pc so look for them to make gains. Ktm/husky bikes look decent but rj rides his to the limit and it shows by him taking big chances and hitting the deck a lot.

Keefer would say less flex.

Just me…but Marvin doesn’t seem like a guy to fully step away from pro racing & be a trainer/coach to a fellow Euro-guy. I’ve heard rumors of him hooking up with Firepower Honda…and stepping away from KTM, and that sounds more likely. He’s a a husband, and a Dad…but a super competitive guy! And, I believe Mathilde would support his racing aspirations.

Suspension is relative , they’ve went from spring to air a few times so to me that says preference.

I’m watching the races same as you , and i don’t see the hands down edge. Maybe someone else does , but I see bikes that are very , very close.   I don’t see a situation where a pc rider says his engine was why he didn’t win after a moto.

do you know who does the engines ?  Factory Yamaha did hill and heplers bikes in 07-08ish and they looked like dogs.  So I don’t think that’s the case here obviously, just wondering who does. Obviously they’re potent.

Yup he also said it on pulp this week.

It seems like j-coop and Webb at star.

Then Eli gets to do what he wants. Retire or 1 sx season? Maybe 2. But due to the fact he wasn't going to race outdoors this season and what's happened he will prob be sx only.

I think Pro Circuit Kawasaki really screwed over Ryder D.

After a Amateur career with Kawasaki with many championships they kick him to TLD,

I hope he kicks their ass in 24

I think the ktm group went after ryder d. I think kawi would have kept him but gasgas went for him. They lose mosiman and needed some1 to fill the spot.

If I was to say my top kids going pro currently. I would say it's Romano, deegan, hymas, ryder d. The ktm group needs 1 of those kids.

I think he has really good speed. In the opening 10 mins he a solid 5-7 guy. He just dies at 25 mins.

There is a good option available for him if he is willing and can get out of his Monster deal.

HEP? If so, couldn’t they just roll him into the Progressive side like Kenny?

I know HEP are interested but I've heard of a link to Husky being thrashed out. Sounds rather silly but stranger things have happened.
