Legal issues aside, I don't see the benefit of using THC as a recovery tool?

I use edibles to help me sleep at night, but I don't understand the benefit they would offer to a professional athlete as it relates to training or recovery.

THC slows your reaction time WAAAAY down, and trying to train with them in your system doesn't work (I've tried).

Am I missing something here?

THC does not slow your reaction time down. Don’t believe the propaganda that’s been out there since the 50s they’ve debunked all of that bullshit

Best decision I ever made was to quit smoking weed. Been off the devil's cabbage for 1 year and 2 months. If you can do it in moderation, more power to you. I don't do anything in moderation.

I recall getting off a plane in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia a few decades past. There was a sign that stated that illegal drugs were punishable by death. Was not at risk, but made me relize I was not in the US. Not sure if that is the same today.

Brittney Griner may be a better person to ask.

I seen the same sign in Kuala Lumpur. Singapore is the same, death penalty. No trial or bargaining

With the amount of issues pro riders, and people in general, have had with pharmaceuticals, I wouldn't be surprised if they are using it in an injury situation. When I lacerated my kidney I was in the hospital for 3 extra days because the pain medication fucked me up so bad. I ended up using THC as a pain reliever and it was great. As an anti inflammatory or a pain reliever its probably the safest thing you can take imo.

Off topic, but what a tragedy allowing him wearing jeans on that box. Ryan should have objected.

The ruler of Abu Dhabi is also the chairman of Mubadala Investment Company which owns WSX. I'm going to go out on a limb and say none of the riders are going to be arrested. lol

Most the reason they want these kind of events in their country is cover up all the horrible shit they do, not highlight it.

Not really the same situation though.  Abu Dhabi is pretty heavily invested in having this SX race there, is Russia heavily invested in having a bunch of they's come play Basketball?

But your comment if funny AF Laughing

I read it.  And I stand by my statement.  When you go to another country, you are subjected to their laws, regardless of what you or I think.  Even if it is arbitrary and capricious on enforcement, if it’s that countries laws, rules, or whatever, don be surprised if it is enforced.

I don't think any country will arrest you for having thc in your blood, only if they have it on their persons. The Abu Dhabi Gov't would probably experience a diplomatic crisis if they arrested someone for just having it in their system, with nothing on their persons.

Oh, well, I guess we are gonna have to agree to disagree then.

Isn't it illegal for women to drive in some of these countries?  So you'd be cool with your Wife being arrested since she drove in another country?  Got it.

If your wife is going to a country where it’s illegal for women to drive then she’s got some screws loose in her head to begin with. If she’s dumb enough to take that chance then that’s not someone I’d want to conceive children with anyways 😂

I mean you have a point but that wasn't the point I was trying to make Laughing

Matt seems to be cool with folks getting arrested for doing something legally in another country, that's pretty fucked up any way you look at it.

I don’t think he’s ok with someone getting arrested for something legal in another country. He’s saying if it’s illegal in that country then don’t take the chance otherwise you could get arrested. The legal drinking age in Germany is 16… if a 16 year old German comes to the USA that doesn’t mean he can legally head down to the local Hooters and buy/drink a Miller Lite.

I agree with that.

However, the dude in the article smoked weed legally in America and was then arrested for it in another country, he didn't smoke the weed there.

So Matt is saying that we should arrest that German kid as soon as he comes to America because he broke our law but in his country.  That's fucked.
