Do we have a total purse yet? What is the prize for the top 250 as it sits now?

$20,500 + an Ogio Rig9800 with that being contingent on them riding an Austrian motorcycle. $15,500 + the Rig bag if they're on a non-Austrian mfg. I have a breakdown with the current rewards on page 2 of this thread that I update when I learn of new contributions (usually thanks to Mav).

Just in case this gets bigger... Here's what's up for grabs for the smokers!

If the prize pool is 20k or more. And there is 5 2strokes or more. I think moto memes should divide the purse to the top 3.

12k, 5k, 2k or something like that.

Also I would hate to see Kenny or some1 elite steal the money from a guy like burkeen. If some 1 like that decides to race they should be doing it for fun and not the money.

It would suck if 1 elite guy showed up and waxed everyone, but if a few showed up it would be sick. It’s a reach, but imagine if KTM put Webb or Pless on a 2 stroke and Osborne and Savatgy showed up. Would be wild.

I don’t think he’s race fit, but if he were I could see Villo jumping into an event like this.

Rules are rules and sure there is a reason for having regulations on homologation. However,  if a bike has been homologated in its lifetime, what is the harm in being allowed into a the race. There isn't a clear advantage of riding bikes that are 5 + years old. Outside of " thats how its always been done" I'd be curious to get a real understanding of how allowing older bike is an issue for the series. Certainly this challenge is unique and not happening very often, but seems like all upside to allow guys to ride bikes that have been homologated regardless of bike age as long as they can qualify on speed.

AMA Pro Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross are controlled by the manufacturers, they use it as a marketing tool, for brand recognition and to sell new bikes, they don't want old bikes they no longer manufacture competing.

Yes. All that is needed is for someone to set one up and then people to get the word out.

There is plenty of time left for someone to do it.

I agree it’s the stupidest rule ever . The cr250 stock bore can handle the new yz300& ktm300,s. Ryan at glen Helen proved that.
