I like it. He can be funny yet can bring some genuine technical commentary that was missing.

Even if he stumbles upon a thought or word, he is not annoying. To my ears. It's a delight to have him. He is not yelling or over hyping, acting up as bad as ... you know.

I am however, a bit weary that they are slowly molding him into somebody else. I did notice he is starting to use words and sentences he never used in his podcasts. Same " fillers" used by Ricky... It'd be nice to know if it is just mirroring, hanging with Weege & co,  or they actually have someone feeding them recommended filler lines.

It's not easy doing what they do.  He could be relying on his career and be a d.. but he is not. Was it Weege or Blair saying he was listening to himself and inquiring around on technical stuff, how to improve his work.

Must be good to come home and tell the kids your dad is on TV. Lol. This time there is proof, if they don't believe him, they can see it for reals !

If you disagree with me, that is fustrating.

I like how he talks about money. Reminds me that money is part of the dream for these racers.

You would think Stew has a crystal ball the way he calls exactly what the riders are going to do in a moments time. I'll forgive all the minor flubs or stutters for accurate insight like that. Much rather have someone who knows what they're talking about vs. some polished talking head.

Best commenting duo in a long time.

He's good. Nice to have real analysis. Still slightly prefer Langston's voice/diction.

Wish he could have elaborated more on how he knew jett was trying hard.

Dont like the French baguette German chocolate stuff.

Nitpicking tho, if commentating were a race, RCd be getting the blue flag real hard right now

James was on point today. Was he perfectly polished? No, and that's okay because the insights and nuggets of knowledge he constantly shared even during a fairly boring 450 race kept me engaged till the very end.

I agree.  He is definitely bringing a great perspective and value.  Crushes RC.  SX needs this same team in the booth and RC trackside.

I agree.  His “laying pipe” comment was just lame, just like the “far east coast” or “german chocolate “.

His technical insight is gold. Also love how unpolished he is. He’s all personality.

I mean that's just because you are way too stuck up to take a joke. Ever listened to an MLB broadcast?

I enjoy both RC and James, especially when they’re commentating together. I just hope all this “James is better than RC” stuff doesn’t cause a rift in their newfound friendship. I kinda like the buddy buddy relationship they seem to have now.

If internet commentary causes a rift, it was never real.

He was better today definitely, but needs to drop the stupid nicknames ect the “ I’m feeling dangerous” is pretty cringe. I thought he was pretty hard to listen to at the first round, missing stuff that was happening in track.  I’m just use to Paul Malin properly calling the races, that guy does have a crystal ball. He tells you exactly what’s going to happen sometime even a lap before it does. How he does it by himself is unreal. The AMA supercross and motocross has a long way to go as far a commentary goes. The should have kept Daniel Blair and made him the anchor, he’s good at what he does. Him and Wedge would maybe make a good combo, or bring someone like GL back, he was decent enough.

He is getting better. Little repetitive and long winded. For the love of all things moto, frustrated has an “r”. Excited has a “x”. If he would talk more on shifting and braking, throttle etc it would help. Maybe instead of jett doesnt look like he’s trying(man him and rc wear that out. At least say it differently). Talk about his leg and knee technique  being on another level. If GL stays retired, James is my pick.

Holy shit he was long winded way to often. Weege had to interrupt often.

James is no better and often worse than Grant Langston.

His lightly Ebonics flavoured delivery is entertaining.

I think the shine is wearing off on James pretty quick. If he learns to be a little quicker in his explanations it would be an improvement. I just wish we could have someone with Malin’s style and actually call the racing not turn everything into a story or explanation.

That's because James is watching the race and usually RC is trying to fit in personal war stories in between the racing action.
