Demo== Blowing big balls wtf were they thinking putting the clutch on R-1 f ive given it 2 hours and im just starting to get aggitated, The clutch is the main fucking problem. I would seriously like to punch the bozo who put the clutch on r1 it makes it really hard to play. other than that its fun, is there and option in the demo to change it? if not im deleting it and waiting till the whole game comes out
i agree it sucks that it's on R-1 just above the throttle...

that said, i ran a 57 on a 250f without ever touching the clutch.

Judging from your all caps message and your lack of punctuation, it seems that you may have trouble with basic controls. Just sayin'.

My biggest raspberry for the game so far aside from the controller which will be customizable, the ruts. The idea of ruts was super cool. Making the track the consistency of wet cement was bad. I can accept cross rutting, the rut development engine is just as bad as the tuff block issue in untamed.

I know once I get comfortable and can use that to an advantage it will be fine, just as you could in Untamed with the tuff blocks. Just an unrealistic element in trying to make a real world.

More time on the bike for us all will change our opinions. I really like the smooth idea. The smoother you are the better you will be. I did record one lap in the 59's. Smooth and steady.

to the ruts.. just remember this is our version of a full on sand track. It gets rutted, faster and more. Lots of tracks with different types of dirt so don't get too hung up on it. This is one of the nastiest.

Where there is dirt their can be ruts. Each track SX included has different types of dirt. Some are harder than others. Also some of the SX tracks have sand sections. Smile

Like I said.. the first mistake everyone does right away is slam both sticks.. just start by steering with the left, then start adding in a little of the right in the middle of the corners. Be smooth with it. As for preloading, there is none but you can stretch jumps out by pulling back with the right stick until you peak or you can also push forward to suck it up a bit. Then comes scrubs and whips.

Preload is kinda gone, do the motoskills on the demo and you will find your answers. You have to slow down sometimes, to be fast on this game. Smooth is the key to going fast

I barrel rolled and stuck it. I dont know how I did it, but I thought it was cool. The Freestyle is really cool in this game. Also I am hoping for a nice flat playground where I can learn to wheelie. The bike loops really easily.

i love the scrub, very simple to do yet sometimes can be hard to pull off correctly.

As Tiki said, slow is fast, consistency is key; especially once you get on a rutted Supercross track.

Once someone figures out how to be James Stewart, all out all the time, and stay on two wheels, they will be tough to beat. I like the McGrath approach myself, smooth and consistent with some solid speed as well.

I am getting close to the James Stewart-like style. I can pull it off on the 250 for almost an entire three laps, with the random fly-off-the-track-like-a-125 beginner moment.
It's REALLY hard on the 450, but the way you can counter-lean and still keep your momentum up is freakin awesome.
This IS the game I have been waiting for, from the ruts to the fact that it's actually hard to go fast. Definitely NOT for everybody, especially the casual gamer.

I am down around 55 on both bikes...

Your son's name is Bobby and your username is Hank?
From Arlen to boot. If you work in a propane store that would just be too much.

Im so glad this game is hard, my best time on a 450 is a 1.00 flat and on a 250f 1.02, Only complaint now is that the AI does not know how to create ruts they just blast over what ever however ive seen some funny chit playing with those goons. This game for me is ranking in about third underneath:

1. ea sports supercross 2000 (commentary-ruts-incredibly hard)

2. Supercross circuit

3. Mx vs atv reflex (Demo) and the whole game is not out yet.

Supercross 2000? really? that game is still fun to play but its not THAT good. The cheats for that game are rediculous. Supercross cicuit was the shit though. The first person view for reflex i find prettty damn hard to beat..
