Jett's biggest issue with beating Chase indoors or out will be starts. He has improved over the last couple of years, but he hasn't shown the ability to get consistently good starts. The depleted field is certainly going to help though. Even if he gets buried at the start and Chase runs away Jett is probably still going to be able to podium so Chase may have trouble building a big points lead.
Ferrandis turns 29 this year. He is only a year or two younger than the group of 29-31 years olds that are going to retire in the next 2-3 years. His age plus injuries are not a good sign for him being competitive moving forward.
I don't think AC's shoulder is good enough to be competitive for 2 30 minute motos, but I hope I am wrong.
If the field was full, I wouldn’t think AP could contend for #1, but as depleted as it is I think he’s got a wildcard chance of winning.
I’m just playing, your word choice just made me laugh. Figured I’d get a bunch of downvotes, lol!
I won’t be shocked if Jett does really good this year, he’s really talented and the competition is mostly at the doctors office instead of the track for outdoors. I just don’t see him adapting to the faster bike, the brutal schedule and the long races immediately. But I also can’t remember a season so perfectly setup for a fast rookie to win a lot..
MXON didnt show he can/has adapted to the faster bike?

How do Chase and Jett differ stylistically? It seems there riding style are quite similar.
dylan is almost the defending champ.....but he has to be under done given his injuries....
ala j coop last year....
Chase has to be the favourite with Dylan a close second( if he's 100%).
Cannot see Jett NOT finishing top 3 for the series.
He was absolutely great at the MXON, but we need to see how he does week after week when fitness, toughness and fatigue are the main factors.
It’s great to have guys moving up, there wouldn’t be much to talk about if Jett was still in the 250s!
Jett only seems fast because look at his competition. No one he's racing has won a title. Except Martin ('14-'15) and Cooper in West SX '21 (not against Jett.) Now he'll get thrown to the lions in the 450 class where ALL his competition is former or current champions. Granted most are injured so, he'll look like he's doing really well even on an off day. Time will tell. But y'all need to chill on him being the next GOAT.
*Hunter was actually faster than Jett most of last years MX season. Hunter was on rails and going to beat him straight up at Millville. Moto 2 he got the holeshot in front of Jett and getting away. Then they had a red flag and did a full restart and Hunter got buried. Jett got the lucky horseshoe holeshot.
So Jett beating Chase straight up, twice at MXoN his very first race on a 450 doesn't count? (and Eli once but I know he fell)
I don't care what the circumstance, first priority for these guys is beat your team mate (Honda Team mate).
and after a summer of battling Eli there is no way Chase lays up for a rookie.
This summer will be a repeat of 2022, but with Chase/Jett , not Chase/Eli, and hopefully DF too
realistically who else can win 450 outdoors this season besides the three u mentioned?
too many big dogs out of the mix imo.
AP maybe an odd podium and AC perhaps but that will be a stretch....
250 's will be the premier battle for the title this year outside with so much more depth!
From the issues ac has it sounds like he will struggle more in mx.
Ap should be good.
Barcia wants to race round 1. But I think by round 3-4. He should be on pace.
Skreech is the favourite but it won’t be easy, he and Tomac shat on everyone last year but Jett and Dylan will make him push!
Jetts disappointed Tomacs not there, he knows he’s got Sexton covered
So the guy who won zero nationals last year and finished third in points was faster most of the year than the champion who dominated with 9 wins? That is some interesting logic. 🤔
I think you should add Dylan Ferrandis to the poll. He had incredible speed at the 22 MXdN (iirc, the fastest), and that was less than a year ago. If Dylan can stay injury free, he'll be running up front and a title contender, imo.
As for Chase vs Jett, it's hard to say. I'd probably give the nod to Chase because Chase spent last summer learning a lot from Eli, and it will be Jett's rookie season in the 450 class. But Jett is one of those riders with that extra something so I would not be surprised if he wins the title.
Bartender, I’ll have 2 of what this dude is drinking please..
Jett is on a roll. His mental game is strong. he doesn't make nearly as many unforced errors as Sexton, though Sexton came on strong at the end of SX. Sexton however has the experience running with the big guys. It's going to be good as long as they both stay healthy.

Don't think Chase will luck into a championship in the outdoors unless Jett gets hurt
