It's sport for me, though getting a bit boring shooting at the hypothetical slow moving turkeys. We've shot the range turkey, the weight turkey, the price turkey, the reliable delivery turkey and the 'Greatest MX Bike Ever' gobbler.
Also, there is a strong, understated but nasty, woke, green Marxist control, ideological connection to E bikes, but that is too political for here.

Yeah... There's a good handful of people on this site that should have been sent packing long ago. Its the same people over and over again no matter the discussion.
Those people have all been sent packing numerous times but they just create a new screen name and carry on with the same embarrassing behavior. Not an ounce of pride among them.

You really think someone goes their entire life seeing motocross, never has any interest in it, then “Oh wow! An electric bike?! I never had any interest in motocross, but since there is an electric option I’m totally going to buy one and purchase all this gear and go to my local motocross track!”
That won’t happen.
It will be people who already ride dirtbikes.
What you just said will age so well 5 years from now when all of your favorite aftermarket companies go out of business due to motocross going all electric. Just run our sport into the ground why don’t you.

Despite placing a preorder on day one, I'm still on the fence about taking delivery. I have no doubt they will be excellent bikes but I wonder if its a bit like driving a Tesla Model S Plaid versus a Porsche 997 GT3RS manual. The Tesla beats the Porsche in all performance categories hands down, but there's just something about ripping through the gears and hearing the sound of that Mezger engine.
Either way, I think Stark is good for our industry. I really think the current manufacturers have been resting on their laurels for way too long. It blows my mind how slow they are to innovate, adapt or fix issues compared to some other industries or categories. Think about all the things that have carried over from Tesla to other car makes now, including cars with gas powered engines.
No matter who or what...you are making fun of someone wanting a dirtbike. Regardless if they had one before. If it makes them go around the track that means they are paying track dues, which is what we need more of. Maybe they will stay in the sport longer? Maybe someone won't be scared their $10k bike is going to blow up on them (and then cost another $1800 to fix). Maybe they only ride 15 minutes at time and don't care if they have to charge it between rides.
You obviously aren't the targeted audience, so why bother those that want something different? Especially when we all want to ride dirtbikes.

I was riding my Sherco 300 SE the other day with this exact thought...I love the sound, the complexity, and the challenge of riding a two stroke well. Some days I'm in a thumper mood, so I ride my KTM 450. Not sure what to think yet on the Varg. The 260 lb news was disappointing...

My Sherco weighs 257 lbs? I'm not being facetious at all....I thought it was around 228 dry.
