Wow for a PW? They don't even have hydraulic forks.
At any rate, the forks are peened together at the base of the right fork tube, where you will see the four depressions on the outer tube. You will need to drill that out to get them apart. Later will need to fill with screws/brazing/etc.
once apart, the legs shouldn't be any different to coat than any other fork leg.
People are saying the sport is dead, but we got dudes out here coating their kids PW forks. I love motocross 😂
I’m just picturing a four-year-old coming in from the track like “too much chatter from the front end, basically unrideable, needs a revalve ASAP”
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
I'd call Pro Circuit...ask for Mitch.
Just send me the money, you will get the same results.....
Just call up PC and ask for the Tony Allessi starter kit.
Bought a pw my friend built for his daughter. Has the extended leading axle forks and single shock swingarm from pw only. Forks are quite a bit better than stock. Probably a better way to spend your $.
And that’s right after getting smoked by a kid on a 10 year old stock bike lol
You have to be very careful with this. Cheaper bikes use cheaper materials. Nobody knows what temperature are the pw50 fork tubes tempered.
You can make your PW 50 fork tubes soft and brittle If coat them in too high temp.
Find out what material are used on fork tubes. Then find out what temperature are they tempered.
"The purple nitride is definitely plusher than the black DLC. Let's run that."
Why?
How many of you shit talking vets have a $95k sprinter to do practice days?
To be clear: This is all the same dude, right?
Hey guys this has nothing to do with performance. I have the money to do it so I’m going to do it. Just want to know if anyone has done it or who to take it to. Going to post pics of this entire build it’s going to be epic.
I don’t care about performance results it’s all for looks
It was only so expensive because I needed it to be smell-proof to keep the MR-Pro6 fumes back there. Need that stuff in my 2024 Factory Edition for my 4 lap +50C motos.
Pit Row
I think you are money well spent, with the speed those bikes are going everything helps!
Art of War suspension technologies has done some before
Well, there’s another Yamaha that’s gonna get claimed.
Your name being "Threewheeler" kind of tells us everything we need to know about you and coating PW 50 forks.
Do you bud and fuck anyone who says otherwise.....
Yeah says a lot thanks
Motocross community is so weird. People talk shit on making dirt bikes look cool
Thank you I’ll look into it
I bet every single one of you talking crap, if you saw his PW on a stand at the track with coated forks would stop and check it out. It isn't your money so chill the hell down 😂
That being said, it IS outrageous but you only live once.
Bro back in the day my father was putting av gas in my PW and we did drag race tests.
Do you have a three wheeler? Before I saw your name I was going to protest you at Loretta's, but if you're a three wheeler guy I'll let it ride.
