Chase got lapped during Kens win (not sure about other races), so perhaps that's what they mean?
Pretty sure Ken was lapped more than once this year as well if that is the point they were trying to make.
Yeah...okay spectator.
You're not the one who has to live with the injuries/fallout....all for your entertainment.
Nope.
Barcia and Anderson are the most recent casualties of the tracks. Eli/Webb have nothing to do with this. People are just venting frustration over a nearly depleted lineup of top factory talent.

Historically that is the case. What’s your point
People forget Dungey breaking his back IN MX. Eli had a serious season ending shoulder injury IN MX. RV's career ending injury was riding MX. Plenty of injuries in MX as well as SX. Lots of MXGP guys get injured. Going the speeds that these guys are running is going to result in some crashes. Crashes = injuries
The problem is so much emphasis is placed on the “test track“ yet there’s almost zero correlation to the actual weekend
Sexton was lapped at Indy. Roczen’s worst finish was 11th at Oakland, but he was still on the lead lap.
Roczen is the only one to have completed every lap of the season. That’s a fairly telling stat in my opinion.
I stubbed my big toe this morning....
I wonder what the Vegas odds were before A1 of this happening 😳
If riders want to stop getting injured, they need to stop taking risks.
One day a rider who doesn’t take the risk will win.
mom another day, the rider who takes the risk wins.
it is what it is.
Typical Bro response. You need to be back in Roman days when they watched the Christians get eaten by the lions for sport. It doesn't take a genius to see when half your field is depleted from injuries, something isn't quite right.
So Tomac with his injury from a slight jump misjudgment and Webb's misjudgment coming out of a corner should be compared to lions eating Christians? Damn some of you on here have way too many kneejerk reactions to racing incidents.
Riders get hurt no matter what discipline. Hard enduro, GNCC, EnduroCross, FlatTrack, Sprint Series, FMX. Heck even onroad a literal flat surface. Anytime you throw your leg over a bike you can get hurt. I didn’t know this was news to everyone
Not my meaning. It was in response to the comment I quoted and the attitude.
Nope - just the response of someone who appreciates seeing the best in the world apply their skill to a sport I have sacrificed more bones enjoying than anything else in my life. Never did I think laying there after a lapse of talent/judgement/skill that the track was at fault - these are professional racers at the pinnacle of the sport, to disregard my comment as something “bro” shows me you probably pee sitting down and/or haven’t really competed at a high level and feel the need to to be offended at someone trying to defend the requirements for this sport to continue to evolve and allow the Chase’s, Eli’s and Jett’s of the world to blow my mind doing things on 2 wheels. Like I said, the flat track is thataway, and go watch one of the earlier races this year where Jett expresses his dislike for dumbing down track features when they’re all “professionals” - his words not mine, but I guess to you he is just a dumb “bro” and you know better than him on what is best for the sport…
Yes I have competed at the highest level. I raced Unadilla at the USGP way back in 1984 when it was a real track and some 500 nationals and I have never seen attrition like this. If you really love the sport, you will see it can’t go on like it is “Bro”.
This sport is very high risk, but it seems that the measures that could be taken to mitigate those risks are often ignored. St. Louis 2010. The officials were told about the destroyed corner before this rhythm section. Chad Reed made a huge deal out of it and the riders were pissed. More than one commented that they were holding their breath every time they hit this section praying they this didn't happen to them. This was the result: Shattered leg, end of season, loss of likely championship, no outdoor nationals. Sound familiar? Tomac's injury was not due to a crash, but resulted in exactly the same result as Villopoto's. I think it is fair to say that the group of people who decide the outdoor national champion more than any other is the group of supercross track designers and builders. Greed will prevail and the outdoor nationals will continue to suffer.
Pit Row
Damn straight.
Many of those who are advocating for no changes probably have never ridden/raced. If they have, certainly not at SX level. It's all about the circus show for them....not what's best for the riders/sport.
