Can we start a petition to limit Super Death Cross to 12 rounds now?  Statistics show that the bodies of half  of the 10 best SX riders in the world can’t survive 17 rounds…

There was a year in the 90s where by the end there was like 3 factory guys left. Injuries are apart of the sport. We lost Webb and Eli to freak accidents. Some years are great, some are bad. It happens when guys are pushing the edge. Dangerous sport.

I thought Ricky's commentary on Tomac's injury and replay was well informed and compassionate. As much flak as he has taken on his broadcast, I think he did well tonite.

I think when the network pushes him to be hyped he struggles, no way to be hyped with what was going on, he slowed down to what he's comfortable reporting at and he was great.

But I fell asleep after the 250 main and woke up in the middle of the 450 race to see Tomac out, still in shock. Makes you wish he'd dropped the mic at MXoN.

And lets not forget about Adam! Dude hung in there despite some setbacks to get a podium-if Tomac needs inspiration-look to AC! That guy has experienced soap opera like heartbreaks in his career and made it back to a 450 podium. So impressive. Still lots of positives to come from this season.

I like Izer and the work he does on DMXS, but his work at the after race Press Confrences is hard to listen to. Whistling just saying.

Did anybody else think it sounded ominous when Diffey said "one more to go!" about the next race? I can't handle any more injuries.

Crazy to think we are in a new era of racing. With Tomac done and soon to be Kenny, Webb, Anderson, Marv, Barcia, and a few others all the guys we’ve been watching for 10+ years will be retired. Time for the young bucks to shine.

I feel like #deepestfieldever is going to get put away for awhile sadly. Sexton and jett. Hopefully ferrandis. But outside of that? Who will have the speed?

Well last year it was the Eli/Chase show..winning some motos by 40+ seconds. It may just be the Chase/Dylan/Jett show now.

But if he did he would have never moved into 2nd on the all time Supercross win list. But devastating none the less, he was looking so good this year. I selfishly hope this isn't the last we see of him.

Any word on Nichols?  They had to carry him off the track to the mule.

Wow it's like The Running Man out there. Probably missing 1 or 2.  Tomac, Webb, Malcom, Barcia, AP, Anderson, Ferrandis, Musquin, :'(

Just watched the race. I feel sick to my stomach. This sport can suck so much ass at times with injuries. I’m heartbroken for Eli.

As far as I can see Eli downside the jump perfectly and got great drive down the face and it just snapped during the g-out/transition. Gutted for him.

That’s crazy if it’s true, because he just confirmed he’s racing last month.

Webb will be next, after a decent healing interval of course.

I know, but Kenny and WSX have also been talked about on Pulp MX in the last week or so.

Webb was looking at racing WSX this year after saying he was in for outdoors.

Things change.

Well...I guess the wife and I picked a bad night to go to a Jimmy Buffett concert @ Snapdragon.    Holy shit....I am floored over Eli.

Just like Webb... out and done....in an instant.

Kenny vs Webb would actually be a huge win for the WSX. I will probably be at the german Düsseldorf round and I wouldn't mind seeing these two going at it.

Wondered why this thread went from 4 pages to 10 after the 250 main. Figured something big happened. Gotta say as a fan of the sport I’m over SX. I viewed it as something to watch over the winter but it’s become too many rounds of a meat grinder and has now seriously put a damper on the actual season I care about. I understand the dangers of the sport, hell headed to race myself today, but it’s starting to look like the hunger games more than a sport.

Webb won't be doing WSX this year. He posted an update on Instagram. The doctor recommended that he takes 6-8 weeks off. After that, he'll start preparing for the nationals. He's hoping to race the last few rounds (possibly half) and then race the SMX playoffs.

I wonder if that might change now with the depleted field. Kenny does pretty good work outdoors.

Not very subtle are they? Besides the fact it's clearly a Suzuki silhouette, you can also make out the Red Bull on his helmet and the #9 on the front plate haha

Damn, good for him, he'll have a good shot at winning - but gotta admit I'm a bit disappointed. Was hoping to see him back on the yellow bike outdoors. If he could've channeled that old speed, would've made for some interesting races between Chase and Jett!
