If Jett wins the championship this weekend we might see him on a 450 at the last Round. How do you guys think he will go since so many riders are out ?

Poll

How will he finish

Racer x interview from today, it looks like it might be a possibility. I didn't think he would incase of injury before outdoors

Highly unlikely. Nothing to gain and it's also a risk to his outdoor debut.

That's what I thought until I seen him on the racer X interview today.

I have not yet watched the RacerX vid and having Jett on a 450 for the last round will make things really interesting.

I hope both he and Hunter do. Especially Jett, the rest of his season being a learning opportunity. When did team’s become so risk adverse? 20 years ago, this happens no question.

We always see threads like this when someone wraps up a 250 title early and it never happens so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say no way.

If Jett does line up then team orders will come into play. He can't take points off Sexton whilst trying to beat Tomac....that is IF he can run the pace without riding over the edge.

Common sense say he will use the weekend testing for the outdoors.

...but the likely scenario would be him racing 250's for the last time as the Champ.

I also thought about the risk of injury.

But what's the difference if he races 450 or 250 at the last round.

If there is that much of a risk of injury then he should just sit out of the last round.

I kind of agree, the only difference though may be the lack of testing on the 450 in SX specifically maybe?  On a side note after watching him in person at MetLife he’s an amazing talent that I think is about to make the sport very boring to watch in the 450s. He floats around a supercross track and it’s amazing to watch. He looks like he’s just riding around at 50%. Very efficient.

He'll ride the last round 250 and he and Hunter will top step the podium to bow out.

There is much more risk racing a 450 for the first time all year in competition than a 250.. Sheesh..

also no way it happens, if the championship was down to 4 points then maybe Honda pushes for it

Related factoid; only once has a full time 250 (or 125) rider won a premier class race.  Kevin Windham in 1997 I believe.

Justin Hill nearly won 450 race a few years back.

Is Hunter definitely doing another year 250 sx? Would love to see them get bumped up together. Another year of this will slow his trajectory. At least 250 west 450 east? Please.

If the Lawrence’s raced 450s at the last round they would do very well especially in this depleted field. Then there will be a dozen threads on the next coming of Jesus, I mean the Lawrence’s.
Since hunter will be out, danger boy wins his first race.rinse cycle repeat on the hype.  Imagine the story lines…..

It’s a win win either way for Honda. Have 1e and 1w in 250s or have more media coverage with them racing 450s in a depleted field. They could get hurt either way

Why not throw in Hunter as well?

Whoooaaaaa he’s only 19 you guys. Riding a 450 indoors is dangerous. What is the rush?

If that’s sarcasm, I like it.

Jett and Hunter move up to 450 for the last round and they absolutely have team orders to go headhunting!  Those 2 gang up on Tomac and sexton wins the title.

It will be a Honda clean sweep. 250W 250E 450 class champs.
