Anyone else like watching Speedway racing

On my local cable on an HD channel they've been showing the world speedway races every week and the racing has been amazing. It's amazing watching them pitched sideways ,feet on the pegs only inches from eachother. Those guys are insane. I remember when I was a kid going to Ventura Ca. and watching the best in the US battle. Penhall was the man to watch back then.

I saw that the other day. About 10 years ago SPEED used to show it on Friday nights, now I get it on the HD theatre channel. Hard to believe Handcock's still in there going at it.

I remember checking out the results in Cycle News back in the 70's. The Bast boys, Bugaloo Schwartz and a few others.

Schwartz was the man. He used to test/practice out at Indian Dunes all the time and I'd watch him for hours.

I went one time to Costa Mesa. I can remember the the Bast Bros., Sonny Nutter, Billy Gray (Bud on Father Knows Best) and Bobby Schwartz. Larry Huffman did the announcing. Was a great night. Back then I loved speedway next after MX.

The channel is HDT. If you have HD cable box you probably have the channel.

Lovin it!!! The racings been really close and tight. How about that Russian kid Sayfutdinov mixin it up with the elite and winning some GPs.

The coverage is actually pretty good and showing the drama flaring in the pits, thats awesome, theyre doing a good job.

Before he got hooked on speedway, Bobby Schwartz was a very fast pro motocrosser. Super cool guy too.

Isle of Man TT was good and the color and picture are amazing for that race. I liked all of the on board footage they showed. Sidecars dudes are crazy.

You must be my age HuskeEd because because that's who were the top dogs when I use to go every weekend at the fairgrounds.

It was a good place to meet girls also.

The highlight of my family trip to California was going to my first ever speedway race at Costa Mesa

Thanks to Slow Pro on the hook up with that

When I raced Flat track I had the opportunity to try a speedway bike. I didn't do it and now I regret it. I think I was afraid it would be more fun than my bike and I would have to switch.Woohoo
