I think he tried. He was already on the gas and didn't have a lot of time or options. You can see him trying to decide if he should wheelie or turn. TBH, he might have made it worse if he slammed into Webb's head with the brakes on.

Not saying it’s ac’s fault. Obviously he would never do that on purpose considering his list of injuries. And ac was the first to go over to Webb after the heat.

Goddamn dude, I’m surprised they didn’t put him on a board after that hit. That was scary.

This right here, obvious injury to head/neck area and just walk him off 🤦‍♂️

There will be questions around how the Asterisks crew handled Webb. That accident could have easily resulted in a cervical fracture or worse.  Should have assumed Webb absorbed a spinal injury and responded accordingly.

He couldn't go outside without running over Cooper and his bike, and I think you can see him trying to get as far inside as he could but didn't have the room to clear him.  Such a bummer and as impaired as he seemed to be that one may take awhile to clear.

Yes, all while pinned… throttle hand never quit. I do say that original quote with much experience.

Guy gets a wheel pile driven into his head and you felt the need to try to accuse him of a takeout. If Webb wanted Tomac on the ground he had every opportunity to t bone him in that corner and send him into the other lane. He just gave him a little extra love to how him he meant business is all…

So because he crashed I'm not allowed to talk about his race anymore?

Time and a place for everything and accusing an injured rider of foul play minutes after a scary injury like that is not a good look. Aside from the timing your take was just bad anyway as it was quite simply aggressive racing, as I pointed out there was ample opportunity to send Tomac off the track if he truly wanted to take him out. 3 rounds left in a championship a little extra love is not a takeout attempt

Tell me you don't race without telling me you don't race. Probably ride a quad

Jeeez....to see Coop crying like that.   The emotion of the championship lost probably hurts him worse then the injury

Prayers to him that he's okay.

I was pulling for Tomac but I blame the crappy dirt they always have at this track. Embarrassing they can’t get a better racing surface. The top of that berm probably just crumbled.

Coop came into that corner with too much speed to hit the main rut and was the top of the berm in the soft stuff and did a classic front end wash out. Not a dirt issue.

After watching SX in person last weekend and this today I’m not sure I’d ever encourage my kid to ever be a pro rider.  MX is one thing but SX is exactly what Phil describes it as

Instead of sending tanks to Ukraine, we should send tough blocks.

Will medical clear him to race? They did with McAdoo and KTM has more pull...he could of also broken his neck or some ribs, but  hes one tough dude and if he's at all capable of riding, he'll be back out there.. They should of put a neckbrace on for preventative measures. I want Eli to win but I want to see Webb out there battling to see this go down to the last round.. he just got too ahead of himself, imo, you could tell that in the corner prior. Even if he beat Eli in a heat, so what? I just don't see it effecting Eli mentally, Eli is always better in the main anyway and now his confidence just went through the roof...Webb's never been in this position with 3 rounds left and down in points, I think he may of finally been affected mentally after last weekend..and then you know next week is at altitude where Eli should have an advantage, so he had to have pressure to make up points tonight.

In general, you cant close that much of a raw speed gap without things getting sketchy, his bike isn't even set up for that added speed and to work like that, so it's not going to work like normal anywhere.. idk, that's just a bummer.

Update, he's out, what a crazy season but bummer way to end it... I don't think there's any chance of Sexton winning, Eli would need to finish off the podium each round if Sexton wins out, that'd actually tie them and the tie breaker going to Eli. With Webb gone potentially for the final two to heal and get ready for outdoors (potentially), there's not enough guys to get between them consistently for that to happen.

Yeah, there’s a reason why most of these pro racers say they hope their kid doesn’t want to race.
